Didn't they used to be roasted, not smoked?

I think they've always been smoked.

I don't remember roasted.

The first time I had one was many years ago from a cart in DL, not world. They smoke them ahead of time and then put them in a warmer for sale.

Must be hard to get them lit though...

As far back as I can remember in the mid 80's before that I don't know.I love to have one on our trip to MK for lunch one day.
