Turkey Day Gang 2009

It is Lck33, but as you know my typing leaves a little to be desired at times, so when I choose my username, I evidently didn't use the Capital so.....

Since my name is Elsie, it sounds like the two letters L C and my last name starts with a K and I was 33 when I found these boards...Lck33, creative I know. :lmao:

Another question... the mini navigators, is there a link?

Well our name is equally creative as our last name is pronounced "ice" though spelled differently and I was a national officer for Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity when i got AOL way too many years ago...hence the icemanpad...and Bruce is our emblem since we are both lawyers and it was a deliberate play on what lawyers are sometimes called...

As usual we could not make it past the local mall's Build-a-Bear w/out Mason wanting something, but the nice Jewish Kid had to pick out Frosty the Snowman of all things...Now Frosty is nice, but....his grandparents might not approve this one..

The flu has hit our house. I chaperoned on Joey's field trip to Philadelphia on Friday and at lunch time he started feeling sick with a sore throat. Woke up yesterday with 101 temp. Up to 102 today. I can't remember the last time this child took a nap in the middle of the day. All I can say is better now than a few weeks from now. I can't imagine after 2 yrs of planning to have to cancel for that. Now - to hope that Daniel stays healthy or gets it quickly if he's going to get it.

We hope the flu bug leaves your home very quickly!! :wizard:

The Mini-Navigators are DisMeet specific... We make them as a companion to the regular navigator. We will have our event and I will copy the two documents that were put together for the Fish Extenders. I do not know if there is a link to others...

This was a VERY busy weekend at our house. We had gotten behind on so many things getting DD ready for national equestrian competition. Our show season is offically over. We got our Disney Cruise box out of the attic and starting packing and organizing and all that jazz. We made a lot of head way.

Until..... We tried on a few of our favorite Disney Cruise casual wear !!! YIKES !!! A couple of things had grown a little tighter.. Those late nights after riding practice, a swing through McDonalds.... Not too bad, but we are going to hit the gym a couple of extra times for sure....

We had a great time going through everything... remember when we bought these Minnie Ears??

I got an email today from a Disboard friend... She was raving about these packing cubes. She always takes them on cruises.. I checked on the boards a little bit... They are all the rage... Anyone try them....

PS: I think had too much sugar also.. The Halloween candy was in my reach.

I am very excited to meet all of you, and I know DD10 is ready to meet some of the kids from her board. I don't think I should walk around all week saying, "Ima Princess" princess:  so I guess I'll need a nametag... :rotfl:

Halloween was PERFECT here -- clear night with temps in the 70's! Loved it! DD10 was a 50's waitress, complete with fake ice cream sodas on a tray, and DD4 was a ladybug, wearing a costume my SIL made maaaany years ago for her DDs.

OMG -- I read the 20 and had a mixture of crazy excitement, :woohoo: disbelief :confused3 and a mild panic attack  over all I have left to do!!!!

I added a link to the FE room map to the FE room document -- hope that's OK with whomever started that list, but this way they're in the same place.

Happy Birthday, Elsie! :flower3:

Wendy, can you send me the link to the navigators via email?

Sherrie -- my sympathies on the flu! I will admit, that is my nightmare -- getting sick right before boarding, after years of planning... Fortunately, you have a few weeks to get everyone back to health. Hope its time in your house is short lived.

Karen, sounds like you're a great aunt, coming to your niece's rescue... How long is she stuck with She Devil for a roomie???

Have a great week! pirate:

Unfortunately, niece has to live with the awful she devil until May since they signed a lease together. Here's the really funny part. Dear Niece (she's really great by the way) was asked by she devil roommate to be a bridesmaid for she devils wedding in May 2011 to "even out the numbers of bridesmaids and groomsmen." Talk about a backhanded slap! Niece...ever the kind one (she got all the kind genes that I missed) said, "oh, I'm sorry I know that I have something planned for whenever the wedding is...I hope you can find a girl to fit the dress!"

The really sad part is that niece and she devil used to be good friends...until they moved in together! I guess yelling at someone at 8 p.m. that "cinnamon rolls are a breakfast food and shouldn't be consumed after 10 a.m." (yep, it's true) is more than enough to kill a friendship. That combined with the "my food is on the top 3 shelves and you can have the bottom one" and the "I only have a queen size bed so you'll have to take the small room" and...my personal favorite "the hall closet is only for guests -- so I've stored the vacuum cleaner in your closet."

Now niece's room is 1/2 the size of she devils....which is OK, we had a spare twin bed and donated it for the cause...but her closet is the dinkiest thing you have ever seen! I think she can squeeze maybe 20 hangars in it and that's without the vacuum cleaner! Dear niece laments that her room is about the same size as her share of her old dorm room...and that the bonus is having a kitchen in the apartment so she can escape college food. I guess you neve know what you're going to get for a roommate -- even when she's a friend -- until you live together!

Ah well...me thinks she devil's fiancee is in for a rude awakening after the wedding. I know I can be a "princess" at times...but this chick takes the cake!

Oh, and Happy Birthday Elsie. (I'm glad to know that it is LCK33...as I've been thinking that ICK is an awfully strange name!)

Karen

Would you be able to design a magnet for my husband and I? I've never made one before. We will be celebrating our 1 year anniversary on the ship. I can not beleive how fast a year has gone by. We are Stephanie and Eric. THANK YOU! That would be a fun surprise for DH.

Steffylou is a simple name- my middle name is Louise and my family all calls me Steffy. My friends used to joke with me and call me Steffy Lou.

What type of printer paper do I buy to print out the magnet? Does it work just like regular paper or do I have to do something special?

Wendy - Thanks so much for the design. I love it and so want to know how to do this. I have PS elements, will that work?

Thanks for the Birthday wishes Cruisecrzy.

This time change is killing me this morning. Can't sleep past 5:00 and don't need to be up until 6:30. ARRRRRG!

Have a great day everyone.

Elsie

...of the bag!

We told the kids yesterday! They are gobsmacked! Now I need to know where the kids thread is...

Do we register the kids for the clubs online or do we just do it on board? I know you used to be able to do it online on the DCL site.

Karen, I am sending the t-shirt payment to you today. Thanks for everything. Gotta get to work. I will catch up on all the pages I haven't read!!!!:rolleyes1
