Turf Club

DH & I had lunch at the Turf Club a couple years ago and were pleasantly pleased. The food was good, portions were huge, and service was great. :thumbsup2

You can take the boat from POR to DTD and take the SSR boat to the Turf Club.

We ate at Turf Club for the first time last month as we were also staying at SSR...it was FABULOUS! We met up with friends who are local, one who has dietary restrictions and the Chef met with her and made her a great meal that met her needs. He also made sure to check on all of us and make recommendations for us.

I had the NY Strip which was very comparable to Le Cellier which we really like. DH had the Prime Rib which he also loved.

Although it's a bit out of the way unless you are staying at SSR but so worth it! We will definitely plan on eating there again!

we did this in May 2010, but from POFQ...it took a LONG time, more than an hour. The boats from POR & POFQ stop at the Marketplace end...but the SSR boat takes off from down by the far end of DTD so you get off by Marketplace, get in a different line to take the DTD boat to the dock at the other end, then get on a 3rd boat to go across to SSR. We were surprised how difficult they made it to get from "here to there" since geographically, SSR is fairly close to the PO resorts. You could get off at Marketplace and walk over, too...which would be a hike, but probably much quicker than the boat arrangements they have.

We liked Turf Club...review & pictures below in May 2010 review.

I feel like we definitely have to try this now!! Thank yoU!

The menu looks really good. I have had my eye on this restaurant for awhile now trying to decide if I should go here instead of Yak and Yeti. Does anyone have any feedback for me?

I love Turf Club and have also been to Yak & Yeti, which is also really good. If you are really wanting steak, then the prime rib at Turf Club is worth it. I would plan to eat there after AK closes so that you can still enjoy the park and dining.
