Turf Club Lounge

When I see the pictures of the Turf Club Lounge, it kind of reminds me of a crossover between the Belle Vue Room at BWV and Murggie's Den at HH. Is the lounge similar to the Bell Vue Room, meaning a relaxing place where you can unwind from a busy day? Or, is it more like a waiting area while you are waiting to be seated for dinner? Would you bother coming here if you weren't having dinner at the Turf Club restaurant?

I am not familiar with the BVR at BWV or MD at HH. But I believe that the TC Lounge would be a nice place to relax and unwind. We did so a few times. However, it is also a place to wait to be seated. I would go there if I weren't having dinner. There is a pool table and a big screen TV.....both of which I love. Just my thoughts.

My DH and I have spent time in the Turf Club enjoying drinks and have met other DVC members in there to chat with as well. Nice place as a destination, not just a waiting room for dinner.

We were at SSR 8/17-8/24. We LOVED the turf club lounge. It was very relaxing. The atmosphere is great, not very crowded and the drinks were great as well. They have a nice selection of wines. We went while waiting for dinner one night, another night just to relax and have a drink and escape from the heat. The day we checked in we hung around there for a little bit waiting for our room to be ready and played some pool. We have stayed at many of the DVC resorts and I have to say I think that lounge is my favorite.
