Anyone eaten at the Turf Club Bar and Grill at Saratoga Springs? Thoughts???? The menu looks good

We stayed at SSR in 2013 and had dinner at Turf Club. The lounge/bar area was nice with a comfy sofa for a pre-dinner drink. I don't remember exactly what we had but I remember enjoying our salad, appetizer, steaks (can't remember which!) and dessert. DH and I split several things to try them and really enjoyed it!

NOTE: The Turf Club is a bar-eatery inside SSR. It is somewhat small, but is OK because
it gets few guests. The dinner steak entrees sub-par and overpriced. (C'mon, pasta with
shrimp for $20 ?) We were displeased with the rubber chicken and dry steaks. Working at
SSR, did not change my mind. We were part of the pre-opening trial and most of us were
not happy about the offerings - our opinions have been right on ever since. We prefer to
make a meal of the appys and desserts, which are quite good and reasonably priced. By
the way, Lemon Pound Cake was great, but not offered any longer. Now, if we can only get
slow wait-staff service to speed up. Open for dinner only, no longer for lunch.

I haven't been however a friend of mine are here in November and raved about it. She said it was one of her favorite meals in Disney. I am planning to try it on my next trip based on her recommendation.

I've always enjoyed the Lamb Chops with honey polenta and DD always ordered the Root Beer Pork chop. DH was not impressed with the Prime Rib and wished he had ordered the Pork chop.

We felt service was fine even on New Year's Eve a few years ago.

We absolutely LOVE Turf Club! The lounge/waiting area is nice. Not really a bar, just a window service bar, but great couches and even a pool table to play. Steaks are always great, as are pasta dishes and desserts are wonderful. Service is very good. I still don't think many people know about this place. We never have trouble getting a table. I would definitely recommend it. Jane.
