I usually add some chopped red onion and chopped hard boiled egg along with mayo and pepper. Sometimes I chop a little garlic pickle and add that too. Looking to try some variations.

How do you make your tuna? :)

All growing up I only had mayo and relish added to my tuna so it's hard to enjoy other variations as that's what I'm used to. I do like chopped onion and I've even mixed in diced tomatoes (that was yummy).

Just mayo and relish. Very traditional here.

I just add some chopped pickles, a small amount of pickle juice, some chopped red or white onion (depends on what I've got) and a little bit of garlic salt. Sometimes I'll add a little mayo but not very often, I'm a very basic tuna gal. I usually eat it with crackers instead of on a sandwich.

Duke's mayonnaise and chopped kosher dill pickle. Canned tuna is the only fish I will eat.

Duke's rocks! :thumbsup2 It's the only mayo I use for anything. I could never find it when I lived in Cincinnati so I'd buy a couple of jars every time I came home. Everyone up there swears by Hellman's :crazy2:.

Fat Free Miracle Whip, chopped dill pickes, hard boiled egg (chopped), and sometimes jalepenos. :goodvibes

Duke's mayo is an abomination...it's disgusting.

For me, tuna is just mixed with HELLMAN's mayo and nothing else.

I eye ball the amounts, but you'll get the idea.

Pouch tuna (tastes better than canned, IMO)
Squirt or two of lemon juice (from a lemon, not a bottle)
Minced green onion
Minced celery
equal amounts of mayo and miricle whip, enough to make it moist without making it gooey
fresh ground pepper

I mince the onion and celery because I don't like big crunchy chunks of stuff in my tuna/chicken salad, but you could certainly dice it instead.

As for the great "brand of mayo" debate, I can honestly say I never can tell the difference between brands. Since I don't use that much of the stuff I don't buy it frequently enough to care much about price, I get either Helman's or Trader Joe's store brand, depending on which store I'm in when I remember I need to buy it! :upsidedow

Yankees don't know what they're missing.

Them's fightin' words down here in the south!

Tell me about it. I AM a yankee...just happen to live below the Mason-Dixon now. People here love their Duke's dagummit. Not me...blech. Also hate sweet-tea and Cheerwine, but DH loves the stuff! :thumbsup2

Miracle Whip and sweet relish. I see lots saying relish, and am wondering if anyone like dill relish? I love dill pickles, but find little use for dill relish.

Your recipe is close to what I usually do. I know some people that do mustard and hot sauce, its a little different but I like it.

I am a damn Yankee. I moved south from Detroit in 1985, and didn't go back. I love my sweet tea, I blame that on my Iowan mom cooking for my Mississippian dad.

Now PLEASE don't tell me you hate pecan pie!

First must put can in the fridge to get cold. :thumbsup2

Then I add some Kraft mayo and maybe chopped celery if I have it and done.

This may sound gross but it is the only way my 4 kids will eat it.

Tuna
Mayo
bit of lemon juice
garlic powder
lots of curry powder
chopped apples
raisins
chopped celery
chopped onions

It is really, really yummy!

depends on the mood

First one: mayo with diced red apples, salt and pepper

Second one: sour cream with lemon juice, garlic salt and pepper.

YUMMY! I may have to have tuna tonight.

Ooh-combine your first and second one, add curry powder and raisins and you have mine, posted above!

Hellman's, touch of mustard, celery and finely chopped green olives. :thumbsup2
