OK, I'll go...

Tell us something we don't know about you... :teeth:

I actually used to be smart...before I had kids & brain damage. ;) (Literally brain damage, not just being a smart-alec because my blood sugar was 13 at one point during labor with DS.)

I think you know most everything else. :lmao: :lmao: But what don't we know about you?!?!? :confused3

When I say I'm a Red Sox fan, I'm not kidding - I have a Red Sox tattoo

I am a natural blonde, but tend to dye it every shade of the rainbow. It's still blonde right now, but it'll go red in the winter.

I'm thinking and thinking and I got nothing!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh I know I do dog rescue. I foster small breed dogs until they are adopted. I also have three of my own. Every time I thought I wanted to have another kid, I bought a dog, now I have two kids, three dogs and I don't want more of either!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh my this is a hard one since I'm pretty much an open book. LOL

But lets see ... ok I'm coming up with nothing. I don't think I have any hidden talents or guilty pleasures. I love watching tv but everyone knows that. They guys at my office laugh because I keep a spreadsheet with my tv shows and which tivo they will be recorded on. It really helps DH out when I'm not home and he doesn't know if he can change the channel or not. LOL Of course this lead to one of my tags so its pretty common knowledge.

I also love hair bands. My favorite band of all time is Def Leppard and I never miss them or Poison or Bon Jovi when they go through town. I took my pregnant self to the Def Leppard concert in august twice since the first was cancelled due to weather once we had already gotten there and they rescheduled for the next week.

I'm soooo dull, that I don't have an answer for my own question :lmao:

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA :lmao:

OK, I really am a BLONDE!!! I had to read this post 3x before I figured out you were talking about MUSIC!!! Sheesh...I crack myself up! :rotfl2: Yup, I couldn't follow what Def Leppard has to do with hair accessories....

Ok - I'm going way back here. I was a contestant in the Junior Miss pageant when I was a senior in HS. I was a klutz in all of the routines but my talent went well - I sang "Look to the Rainbow" from Finnagan's Rainbow. Obviously I didn't win :rotfl2:

Hmmmmm.... going to have to think about this one.

I have naturally curly hair that I wear straight. I am shy, but once you get know me there is no shutting me up! I was a twirler in Jr. High and High School and you can still catch me twirling a pencil or stick or anything slightly resembling a baton.

Didn't take me as long as I thought to come up with something!

Yeah for twirlers!

I thought of another thing ya'll don't know about me! I am on the board of directors of the Miss Miami pageant, part of the Miss America pageant system. If you ever saw me, you would laugh, I don't do make-up, wear my hair in a pony tail, I am the farthest thing from beauty queen that you will ever meet. But I love that it is the largest scholarship organization for women in the country, over 45 million dollars in scholarship given.

This is a tough question. I'm pretty boring.

I'll steal one already used. I used to be smart too. I was valedictorian of my high school class and I got a full academic scholarship to college.

I can't blame childbirth on my own deteriorating brainpower, but it has nonetheless. When my best girlfriends and I go out to dinner, and the check comes and it's time to figure out who owes what, it's not a pretty picture. And the three of us were among the top 10 students in our class!

I'm a firm believer in the use or loose it theory.
I was a whole lot smarter before children. I aced Regents Algebra in 7th grade, now I really couldn't care less if a + b = c or how to get there. I wasn't fluent in French, but I was pretty good. Now I can't count to 10. Well, in French. I can do it in Spanish and I didn't take Spanish in school. :rotfl2: Thank you Dora!!

I was a competative swimmer all through school (starting in kindergarten) and I started and lead a team of puppeteers when I was in high school and helped with the team throughout college.

I have to totally agree with this..and the statement AWM made.. You use it or lose it!!! I'm co-teaching HS Algebra to my DD..why because the teacher seems to leave out some steps...show your work.. you'll find your mistake!

I knew that! I knew that! (Well, I remembered we talked about that once way back when!)

Hmmmmm.... going to have to think about this one.

I highlighted the orange, that is so me! I'm very shy..but once I get to know you I can open up and have fun!

As for a few other facts...

I was captain of my high school drill team for 2.5 years, yep, .5 came when the captain quit and I stepped up... than the last 2 years my routines and teaching won so I was CAPTAIN! :)I can spin a flag, rifle and sabre (nope not at the same time.. tried, doesn't work well) I also was a flag corp member at Indiana U. w/ the Marching Hundred... Now, the Marching Hundred does NOT mean there are 100 members.. we actually use to march 336 strong! :) Oh, I can still sing my university fight song! :)
I'm a true blonde...and can trip walking up the stairs!

I want to answer this question so badly but I feel since I'm 'newer' around the creative community there's too many things to say!

Let's see.

I'd tell you I like to make stuff, but you already know that.

ugh. this is hard!

I can clap with one hand. ;) It's my "getting to know you" trick I pull out every first day of school.

I'm thirty years old and I still get a school photo every year. I'm guessing teachers are the best chronicled people on the planet considering we have a school picture every year.

Random enough?

I laughed when I read this because I'm 31 years old, and I have a school picture from every year. In fact, just a few minutes ago, I was trying to find a shirt I liked to wear to work tomorrow because it's picture day!! ;)

Now, something you don't know about me. . .

Like Jenny, I'm a TV freak and a hair band addict! KAMommy, her DH, and my DH always get a big kick out of my Guns n Roses sing-a-long when Sweet Child 'o Mine comes on the 80's Music Channel! And for the TV, you just don't mess with my Law & Order (all 3 of them), my CSI (again, all 3), my NCIS, my Shark, and my Numbers addiction (yes, I watch a little TV!!).

I've coached cheerleading for 15 years (yes, that long!), and I've been on a coaching hiatus for about 6 months now (the longest I've ever been not coaching). The really crazy thing about it, though, is that I know about 250 dance routines that I've coached or seen over the past 15 years. When some 80's or 90's or even a recent dance routine type song comes on now, DH will say, "So, how many dance routines can you do to this one?" :sad2: Sad, so very sad!!

What a cute idea for a thread. Very interesting. Maybe this should be the question of the week or even the month of October. Think of how much we would learn.

It's surprising to learn how much I have in common with so many of you:

Like aroyer, I too wear my naturally curly (long) hair straight. I'm also shy, but can't shut up around those who are close to me. I wasn't a twirler, though, but cheerleader is pretty close. (BTW, when I see your family pic, you look so much like one of my best friends.)

Like Nancy, I was captain, not drill team (that would be my sister), but cheerleading.

So SIOH and I have cheerleading in common.

I'm a SAHM now, but like so many of you, I was a teacher.

Put me at the head of the class with all of you over-achievers. I graduated in a HS class of 800, so I don't know my exact rank, but I was at least in the top 15 percent, because that was what it took to earn an honor cord. Graduated from college cum laude. (When my kids try to pull one over on me, I pull out the graduation stats combined with a "Don't think I'm stupid.")

Like AWM, I've learned French and Spanish. Three years of HS Spanish, and two semesters of college French. (That trilingual step really messed me up.)

Here's a new one, though. This shy girl does drama. I do the skits at VBS every year. Last year, I got a big role in the Christmas musical (non-singing), and got to act with my oldest DD (in the lead kids' role). I'm uncomfortably shy in many social situations, but I love a script.

ok, my turn! I love hearing about everybody else's too!
1. I, too, am very shy unless I know you well and not in a big group.
2. I love, love, love Christmas music-ANY time of year ( give me dean martin any day!)
3. I love hip hop and punk and rock, it's eclectic:Rob Zombie, Sum 41, Nelly Furtado, the list goes on and on-I am addicted to my iPod!
4. Also at the top of the class...what ever happened?
5. My best friend is a guy.

Nothing too exciting but there you have it!

I, too, am very like Aroyer and HappyCampers; my hair is naturally curly, VERY curly, but in the cooler months I blow dry as straight as I can get it. I am shy until you get to get to know me, then LOOK OUT!

Can't think of anything else, but I learned to drive on a standard. Mom insisted.:confused3
