TTS Presents.. The Torchwood Series 2 Discussion Thread!

Hey hey!!!! Thats my home town, I don't want to be blown up!!;)
You know me by now, I didn't mean your home town (City) doesn't matter, I meant all of Wales! (I am part of the Anne Robinson fan club).

Question?

Whats the very best thing to ever come out of Wales?

Answer.

The M4. :lmao:

Anyway, now I am dead meat in Wales, :cool1: a bit more from Freemas Website re Torchwood.

Torchwood Series 2, Episode 6: “Reset”
Written by JC Wilsher, Directed by Ashley Way
Freema Agyeman joins Torchwood for three episodes, starting with this conspiracy thriller which has far-reaching consequences. Martha must help solve a series of mysterious deaths in Cardiff…

Martha comes on board with Torchwood to investigate a series of unusual deaths and spots connections between the deaths that the Torchwood team did not.(Their all having a snog again!)

In addition to the deaths they find lives saved by a mysterious wonder drug.

There’s a medical research facility called “The Phram”.

“The Phram” is run by Copley (played by Alan Dale) who is a “powerful man” with dubious morality.

Martha is now a fully qualified doctor and works for UNIT.

Torchwood Series 2, Episode 7: TBA
Written by Matt Jones, Directed by Andy Goddard
A dark and scary tale pits Torchwood against their most terrifying adversary to date. Plus, more Weevils than you’ve ever seen and a derelict church packed with all manner of creepy stuff…

Torchwood Series 2, Episode 8: TBA
Written by Joseph Lidster, Directed by Andy Goddard
Richard Briers plays Parker, a dying recluse who has something that Torchwood wants…( not condoms).

and unless her episodes are not consecutive, it looks like Freema will NOT be in the wedding episode (9) as the tabloids would have us believe…

Torchwood Series 2, Episode 9: TBA
Written by Phil Ford, Directed by Ashley Way
A fun filled romp with a dark edge. At a very important Cardiff wedding, not every guest has been invited…

What is it with Weddings? Que Donna Kebab! -force-fed Kebab particles, and attracted to the Tardis, in a wedding dress, or has that been done before?

DVD Out soon in all good retailers and ones in Wales as well.

Thanks for the info, Emperor Dalek! I think I am going to give this week's episode a miss, or at least just watch the kiddie version - it sounds too scary for me! I may check in here and get your comments first though :goodvibes

Woohoo it's today! :yay:

ESP 1 (for Kids) 7pm
ESP 2 Tonight 9pm repeat for Kids Thursday 7pm.

Radio times reports that ''After a slow start'' Torchwood really gets going on Esp 3 next week, written by regular DW writer Helen Raynor (Daleks in Manhattan)

Well, well, well. We watched the Torchwood declassified and laughed when they said the kiss between the two captains was unexpected (did anyone expect anything else?)

Episode two however - that is what Torchwood is about. A great episode - gripping and a good storyline! More of the same please!

Ah well firstly I previewed the 'kiss' or ''snog'' in advance so we knew it was coming,

Tonight, a good one liked the plot a lot, back to its good form.

Next weeks even better!

A bit more on Torchwood next week from Digital Spy, and for Doctor Who fans, rule out Saturday nights at 7pm from April 5th!

Serving up a more character-based drama than the previous two episodes in the season, 'To The Last Man' revolves around a young soldier who has to play a vital role in saving mankind. Here's a few teasery spoilers, with one fake one lurking somewhere to throw you off the scent.

The action partially takes place at St Teilo's Military Hospital in 1918.

The Torchwood Institute once had people called Gerald and Harriet working for them.

Gwen is menaced by a one-legged man in a hospital. Very David Lynch.

Captain Jack has sealed orders from past Torchwood employees that can only be opened at a certain critical time.

Owen discovers that he is to become a father after a fling with a lady who is out of this world. Literally.

A blank piece of paper is deployed by Captain Jack to explain how a Time shift works.

Two of the Torchwood team share an almighty - distinctly non-platonic - snog.

Toshiko wears a dress for an important day at the office - and we get to see her flat!

The final shot of the episode is unbelievably moving and brilliant.

Daleks upset about Donna, Rose and Martha, get their own back.

Finally got around to watching episode 2 over the weekend. I did chicken out and watch the kiddie version, but still enjoyed it very much, great story. I have a feeling that isn't the last we've seen of these creatures.....

This week's looks great, really looking forward to it.

Part Doctor Who this info

Jack is back in Series 4, maybe a two parter, maybe, a bit more about the face of boe?

Sarah Jane is back also,

We know there is the usual Doctor lite, episode, this time they loose him, Rose, Martha, Donna try to find him, and maybe other assistants will help.

PS I think hes doing Hamlet!

PS

Just read on another site that Character Options have just confirmed a 5" and 12" Davros figure later in 2008. The company states "Series 4 Davros" so he's back.

Well I just watched episode 3 and thought it was brilliant! No need to watch the kiddies version but this was pure suspense even though you knew something was going to happen. Great acting by the actor who played Tommy.

Very good one, had bits of the 'Blink' episode on Doctor Who, with the different time periods and messages coming though.

Very good,

Now anyone for a Alien burger?

Watched episode 3 last night and loved it, that is my type of episode, I loved the suspense and I thought it was just scary enough with all the "ghosts" wandering around. I didn't think the ending was brilliant, but I'm not sure how else they could have done it.

Anyone know if the actor playing Tommy is Neville Longbottom from the Harry Potter films?
