TTC thread take 2

I've decided to have the surgery more than likely after turkey day. We will be putting $$ in an account for it.

Sooo....I may not be on here for about a week after turkey day.

Are you ok Cher?

Looks like we could all use a few of :grouphug: lately.

Gabbie

yeah, my back is a little stiff and I had a headache earlier which has since gone away thankfully. My cousin's son was in the car also, as I had just picked him up from after-care for her. I asked him multiple times if he was okay, and he said he was. I told him that if he developed a headache or any soreness tonight or tomorrow, to make sure he tells his mom or dad.

My car, on the other hand...not so good. DH thinks they will total it. Which would mean I wouldn't get very much for it (2005 mazda 3, 100K miles) and I'd be screwed. Prayers...please! :guilty:

Waiting to speak with the claim rep tomorrow, as the service for his insurance was closed when I finally was able to call.

oh Cher I am so very sorry for everything that is going on in your life right now. Big hugs to you :grouphug:

I don't have any good news either went in yesterday for my beta and it's a BFN, I kinda of expected it as I had tested earlier so I wasn't upset as much as I was the previous month but still it's very disappointing nevertheless.

The nurse called yesterday and the Dr. wants me to do a 7th round of clomid I told her I thought I was only supposed to do 6 but anyway she said a 7th round was fine but they are going to change my protocol up this month and have a consult with the RE after I go in for my baseline so will find out more then. So now I am just waiting for AF to show up.

On other news I arrived back from NYC on Monday. The Mary Poppins Broadway show is so awesome. I have seen the Lion King and Wicked in my home city but this one is my favorite by far. NY pizza was actually very good but I gotta stick with Chicago style as my favorite as I like thick crust. We also went to Serendipity and had frozen hot chocolate. OMG is that stuff good! Over all I had a fabulous time and look forward to visiting again and exploring more of the city.

frozen hot chocolate? Isn't that an oxymoron? :lmao:

Glad you enjoyed it all, and thanks for your honest take on Chicago vs NYC pizza.

I'm so sorry about the negative  I'm surprised they want to put you on clomid again. 6 months is the typical amount of time, because of the effect it can have on your lining. I imagine that they must think your lining is taking it very well. But just remember that you are the one trying to get pregnant here, and sometimes you have to be your own advocate. If you think a change is in order, ask for it girl. Good luck!

I can't even remember if I mentioned that our AC went out last Thursday (the very same day of the BFN)

We have 2 units, thankfully. But the one went out that runs the front of the house--and boy is it hot here in Louisiana! We had a cool front for a day, so that was nice. But it's back to being hot again.

Anyway, we have AHS (American shield--home warranty) so it only costs us a copay. AND just found out that they are replacing the whole unit!!! It will cost us an extra $75 due to the EPA disposal fee for the old unit. So this is definitely the silver lining about our AC. We've had issues with it the past few summers, but they've only done repairs. But now the coil that went out is not even made anymore. So glad we'll have a new unit and not have to call them for a long time!

I wish there was a silver lining with the IVF...and can only hope for somehow, a silver lining with my accident.

So sorry to hear.
Glad you had a good time in NYC though.

Cher - So sorry that you've had so many bad things happen to you lately. So not fair!!!!

My lining always gets to the thickness they want by the time I trigger w/o any extra meds so that is what I am thinking too that the clomid isn't affecting my lining too much. AF arrived today so will go in tomorrow for my baseline u/s and see what the new protocol is. I don't mind doing an extra month of clomid if the RE says it's ok since I know the next step is IVF and much more expensive. They also want me to have the HSG test done again to see if I have any blockage, what fun!

slow week this week. :goodvibes

No doctors to see. Happy!

No work either. My boss is out of the office.

Dang, this would be a good week to go to WDW. :woohoo:

Oh well....

Speaking of WDW, I have good news. My assistant boss (who is a close friend and ttc for 5 years, is finally pregnant.) I'm happy for her. It's not like it just happened. This has been a long while in the works.

Anyhoo, due to her due date, I will be taking her place at WDW this fall Sept. 29-Oct. 2!!!! :worship: Soooo excited!!!! PLanning to stay at Pop.

That's all for me this week. Ken and I will be celebrating 5 years June 17! :lovestruc

What's new with you?

well I'm certainly jealous (of both her pregnancy, and your trip to Disney!)

That really is wonderful, 5 years is such a long time to wait. H&H 9 months to her!

AFM, we took my car to the body shop on Friday after our *** appt (speaking of which, didn't really provide any answers....my thyroid levels were fine which shocked the heck outta me.)

The guy's insurance put me in a rental thankfully, while repairs are being done. A mazda 5. It's funny b/c I drive a Mazda 3. In all the time I've gotten rentals, I've never had a Mazda....so I was pleasantly suprised. It's nice when you are familiar with where the blinkers are, headlights, windshield wipers, etc. This sucker is like a mini SUV though. It has a hatchback, and a 3rd row seat that lays down for storage (otherwise you don't really have trunkspace at all). And the back doors slide like a van, very unexpected.

Horrible night.

My mom just told me that my dad has been drinking again. :sad2:

He lives with my grandma and my family is going to put him in detox for two months.

He has a problem for many years. I just feel so bad. I thought he had beaten this. I feel like an awful daughter for not being able to help. :sad1::guilty:

I'm so sorry to hear about your dad's struggle with alcoholism. Please know you're not an awful daughter--his disease just has a hold on him right now. Prayers being said that he takes detox seriously and gets back on track.

Gabbie - so sorry to hear about your dad. Keep your chin up! There is so little anyone can really do for someone in his condition, he needs to be the one that wants to change. :grouphug:

A little update on me - it looks like we will be trying IUI with injectables next month. I'm going Tuesday AM for preliminary bloodwork and just waiting for AF to arrive. DH has to do another SA to recheck, fingers crossed that nothing is worse than the last one. RE decided to skip chlomid since I have a possibly compromised right ovary and tube from an old cyst & surgery.

RE also informed me that I may be an ideal candidate for an IVF study that they are doing with frozen eggs. If I qualify and decide to go that route I could have IVF covered 100% by the study. I'm just not sure what to do. :confused3

Hi Ladies

Hope everyone had a nice long weekend. Had my HSG test on Friday and good news there is no blockage and everything is normal. Had one 3 years ago but RE wanted me to have another one to see if there were any changes. Yesterday had my 2nd U/S and have 3 follicles that look like they will mature so taking Bravelle for a few more days then go back Thursday for another U/S and then will trigger and have some "fun" time.

I also turned 38 on Saturday UGH! I dislike getting older. Since my cycle started on the 19th I told hubby this is my last chance to get pregnant at 37. :)

Hi everyone! :flower3: I just wanted to introduce myself. DH and I have decided that I finally need to go off the BCP. While we are not necessarily trying, we are not preventing either. I will be 28 in September and we decided that if we aren't expecting by my 29th bday we will ACTIVELY try. I am hoping it happens sooner rather than later as I'm sure everyone here is. I will have to admit, I am slightly overwhelmed by the amount of conflicting information out on the internet regarding ttc. Do you ladies have any suggestions for good websites? I've been to thebump and a few other that appeared when I googled but again... lots of conflicting info...

5/27 14dpo Beta #1: 104
5/31 18dpo Beta #2: 522

Finally got my freaking BFP! :yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:

Went the whole weekend convincing myself it was a mistake and they called the wrong person! :rotfl:
