TTC thread take 2

Many name is Jennifer, I have been TTC for 6 1/2 years. I have IR PCOS. I am currently on a short break to lose some more weight and to get the sugars down more. My RE wants them at 99 or lower. My Gp says they are fine. My RE will not treat me until the numbers are where he likes them. I have had 1 c/p.

 6 1/2 years is a long time and a lot of heartache.

Welcome to our group...glad you found us.

What are your sugars at now?

I'm Cheri, by the way. Me and DH have been ttc for a little over 2 years now. He was diagnosed with azoospermia, and we have since done 4 IUI's and 1 IVF. All BFN's. We have been trying to save money since our first IVF failed in September, and are hoping that our tax return this year will be just the boost we need to do IVF in March/April.

Thank you, I always find it nice to talk to people who know what I am going through. I need that support group.

Thank you for the welcome. My sugars are between 120- 105. I hope your upcoming IVF leads to a BFP for you. I hate that we all have to struggle.

Welcome Jennifer!
I hope your stay on these boards will be a short one and you get a BFP very soon! I have only been on for a short time, but the women on here are amazing and incredibly supportive.

:thumbsup2

Hi Jennifer, welcome! I was a lurker on this board for a very long time and recently started being active in this thread because I definitely needed support as no one in my 'real' life really don't understand what I am going through. And everyone on here has been awesome and so supportive. I hope your stay is short!

Oh, my name is Christy and we have been TTC for almost 4 years. I am 37 yrs old :(
I had an ectopic pregnancy in 2009 which was my first pregnancy conceived naturally.
I had a laparoscopy to cut one of my tubes that was damaged from the ectopic and repair the other which was blocked with scar tissue.
I've had 4 failed IUI's
I am currently on my 1st IVF which my ins does not cover :(

Glad you joined us :)

To all the lovely ladies that got BFP's WOO-HOO! CONGRATS! :woohoo:

Cheri - it looks like we might be doing our first IVF at the same time (April). We will probably do our 3rd and final IUI early next week and assuming that doesn't work, we are moving onto IVF immediately as my RE doesn't think injectibles/IUI will work as my endo history indicates IVF is more promising. Hopefully it will be lucky for both of us! At least we can cheer one another on! :cheer2::cheer2:

Thank you for your welcome. i am so sorry that your insurance does not cover your IF treatments.

Our insurance covers 50% but on selective things. I wish ins would cover more.

I used to post on the bump on the IF boards but all the girls that were on when I was have all graduated. I really do not fit as well with the new group. I am just looking for more support through this process. It also helps that we all love Disney.

Congrats to the BFP's!

Maybe....

I sure hope so!

Welcome to the boards Jennifer!!!

My name is Crista and I have been mostly lurking and occasionally posting on this thread since Becky started it way back when - what 5 years ago now? Anyway I am 37 and DH is 35. I also have PCOS and lost 30lbs and have just in the last year started actively trying again. Are you on metformin? I take 2,000 mg a day. I just went through my first round of clomid with injectibles with my new RE and am currently in the 2nd day of the 2WW. Hope your stay is a short one and feel free to ask any questions, this group of ladies knows a lot!!!

Thank you, I am on met 2k mg a day as well. What did you do to lose the 30lbs? I wanted to start a C25K but I broke my toe this weekend I was wondering if it was a sign.

It was mostly the metformin that did it but I also started walking 2 mi a day and/or doing the elliptical for 20 minutes. I also started eating better and eliminated soda completely from my diet just drinking water or Fresca and when I want a snack I have one of the 100 calorie ones. I also buy reduced fat or no fat items when available.
