TTC thread take 2

Well, we never made it to the bar! I think I had psyched myself up to much last night so I crashed:upsidedow Then to make matters worse, whatever I ate last night didn't agree with me so I wound up puking up dinner too. Poor Mike, he's probably thinkin what the fudge bout now!:scared1:

We have worked out a system of Mike pinching my butt, me giving the needle but he has to push in the stuff cause it's oil! My left side, from last night is still a little tender but the right from this am is ok. ;) Live and learn!

Hope you are all well!

E, it helps if you ice first, then heating pad after. I usually did pretty well with that combo. Some days are worse than others afterwards, but we never figured out what made the difference.

ckret-You can do it! I did one IVF cycle (and it worked) and survived...it's definitely a scary process, but now that it's over, it kind of seems like a lot of hype over a fairly simple procedure.

Oh, and E...DH informed me after we were done with the progesterone that he kept his eyes closed when he put the needle in! That scared me!

I was going to say this...also, I found it easiest to lay on the bed on my side so that my hip was relaxed. :thumbsup2

Mike actually suggested the other night that i lie on the bed when he did this. I may do that this evening. Thanks for the advice on the hot and cold packs too. It isn't a pain more like a bruise ya know? Like getting a flu shot every day!

Mike went this am to give his sample. I'm sure that they are going to say that he is slow. We were at an Irish Wake yesterday for a man who basically dropped dead on Tuesday, 48 years old, massive heart attack. Very sad. He wasn't a close friend but the shock is the age:sad2: Anyway needless to say we had a couple of beers, which is the first time in a while I've been able to drink, so that was nice. Nothing crazy though.:) When he was there this am the RN told him that our Donor was in having her retreival done. So now I am waiting on phone calls confirming what we should all be doing. I don't want to say to work when I'm going to be out until I know for sure but as of Saturday they thought Thursday!

Getting closer. . . Please God everything goes well today for both Mike and the Donor:goodvibes

On pins and needles for ya E!!!:thumbsup2

We need some good news here.
So sick of seeing threads about other women getting pregnant and wondering how much they're going to weigh.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Kind of odd that someone that has posted multiple times over several months about wanting to get pregnant, had no clue as to when they could have symptoms or when they could use a home pregnancy test. :rolleyes1 I guess not everyone is familiar with google, lol.

Sending lots of babydust!!!!!!!!!!

If you're standing, I think it helps to shift your weight onto the foot opposite the side you are going to get the shot.

Wow, Esbrick- good luck!! I am crossing everything for you and sending lots of pixie dust.

Gosh there do seem to be a lot of pregnancy threads on here lately, and it seems like everyone I know is pregnant again! My husband and I wanted to do a group backpacking trip this summer and we couldn't think of any friends that aren't pregnant or will have just had a baby... I don't understand what is in their water that isn't in ours?!?! Blech, waiting can be so rotten sometimes.

Thanks sister!

There was one last month that annoyed me! Another one of "When to tell the family" but she wasn't even SURE yet! Then found out she was, prego for what seemed a minute and trying to figure out how to tell everyone over the holidays. IDK it just hit me the wrong way, same with the above. . .

Morning! OK so our donor gave us 17 eggs yesterday! 5 fertilized over night; 5 didn't make it:sad1: so there are 7 left that they are going to reinject and see how they grow:wizard:. Out of the 7 they will see how they do and if they grow then they will be frozen for us. It's the 5 that they have right now that we are going to use on Thursday!:goodvibes We will use 2 of the 5 on Thursday. Please keep our 5 little embroys in your good thoughts. pixiedust

On a side note. . .my butt hurts:upsidedow

OK so we are good to go for Thursday! We need to be at the office for 10:15 AM and the transfer will occur at 10:30 AM, 1/13. Now 13 has been a good number for us! We got married on 12/13 and when we got married again, we got married on 1/31, 31 reversed is 13! I know it's a stretch but it works for me!:goodvibes and of course look at the time, 10:30 am which is another 13! Yahoooza!:goodvibes

PS my butt still hurts. . .

So, after two years, countless ultrasounds and meds we have done it on our own! I got a POSTIVE this afternoon when I tested!

I really didn't know when to expect AF because I stopped tracking in November after our failed IUI attempt. I wanted to make sure I was safe to drink while we are in Las Vegas this weekend - guess I won't be drinking!

The worse part is I can't reach Paul! He is in Vegas in meetings and hasn't answered his phone! I think I am going to explode!
