TTC thread take 2

So ladies, no AF yet. I tested again yesterday and BFN. What a crappy week. To top it off, my in-laws are visiting this weekend - to celebrate my 40th birthday. I really don't want to celebrate - it is like celebrating the death of my dream for a baby. My Dh just doesn't get it - he is trying. Oh well, I guess I just need to find a way to cope and put on a happy face.

Have a great weekend everyone - I know the weather here is supposed to be outstanding!

Happy Birthday Rose! Sorry about AF. I totaly get ya on the 40 thing. I'm crossing over in March. You can change your way of looking at it though. Maybe instead of looking at it as the death of your dream for a baby you can change it to "by 40". Just cause your 40 doesn't mean you have to stop right and remember if that is what you had desided was your cut off, we are women! We reserve the right to change our minds when ever we want!

OK parents gone, laundry in the machine and now i'm planning a trip to Germany for my boss adn 3 other management people in the office! Should be a good trip for them.

Good visit with my parents. Alot of time together. . . I love my parents and I'm so glad they came to visit but I'm going to be happy to sleep in my own bed this evening!

Well, my in-laws are gone and the house to myself! Feels good doesn't E!

I'm doing much better this week. AF did show up on Sunday. I am trying to figure out if I want to try the hybrid again this month. It looks like we will have time before we leave in vacation. The one thing holding me back is the wear and tear on my emotions. I just don't think I am ready to give up yet.

On a happy note, my DH got me an IPad for my birthday! It is so cool! I am such a techie geek!

yeah the wear and tear is tough, but I'd go for it girl. Will you be in the 2ww when you leave for vacay? That would be awesome because then you will have a distraction!!!

AF finally came on Saturday. I went today for my CD3 ultrasound and bloodwork. I also did a glucose tolerance test while I was there as well. The RN said she'd call me with the lab results as they came in. She only called me about prolactin and TSH today which both came back normal. So tomorrow I will hopefully get the results on the rest of them. The ultrasound I think went well, I had 20 antral follicles on the right and 15 on the left.
I go for my HSG next Monday. I need to schedule a cervical culture (mycoplasma) for next week as well. Then DH needs to go for his turn and we're done with the testing!


On a Dis related note- thinking of changing our ADRs for our January trip. Any opinions on the Spirit of Aloha vs. Hoop De Doo? Thinking of changing a TS dinner to a breakfast and then paying OOP for a dinner show. Thoughts?

yahoo! Glad you got all that yucky testing over with! So far it's all normal and I'll bet the rest is normal too! That antral count is impressive!! I always had a max of 10 (total)

I haven't been to either show so I can't speak to that. BUT if you don't have any breakfasts planned yet, I think it's always a nice break to do a sit down breakfast -- the breakfast buffets are great. My favorite is Boma! But if you are looking for a character breakfast, Cape May Cafe (at the Beach Club resort) was great. I love any place where I can see my favs, Chip & Dale!!

I also keep hearing great things about Donald's breakfast at AK. (Can't remember the name of the restaurant--is it Tusker House?)

What breaky are you looking to get? I highly recommend Crystal Palace! I would seriously eat there every meal if it weren't for some other places I like to go to. They have chocolate Mickey Waffles!

I had my day 3 ultrasound this morning and we have decided to go ahead with the hybrid this month again with the possibliltiy of doing IUI. We will have to see when I ovulate - if I ovulate early enough we will do it before vacation. Otherwise we will be TTC a disney baby! Thanks goodness for the DVC 2 bedroom!

Afternoon ladies AF arrived this am, of course after last night when i bought a HPT. At least she didn't build up my hopes to much and what's done is done. The RN Donor Coordinator called this am to tell me that she had contacted our Donor to set up an appointment to meet and get her tests done. If all goes well, and we know that things rarely go according to plan in our world, but if all goes as well as can be expected then she and I will both start BCP's/ and whatever other meds in December with the hopes of harvesting in January and IUI with embryos in January cause they do not do any IVF cycles in December if they can help it. My/our hope and prayer is that we can go through a cycle, with the hopes of success of course, before March.

I also met with the attorney this morning and she was very nice and gave us lots of info to chill on. Including stuff that we thought we had figured out but she gave us another perspective which kinda gave us a "hmmmm" moment. We need to talk about it more this eveing. We will more than likely sign the contracts for the attorney's office and the Donor place. We can send the other off soon after.

Back to work to absorb or do busy work as much as possible. Need to look busy. If I can accomplish something that is actually a bonus!

Oh it's all so exciting!! Hope work flies by this afternoon...

I went to the dentist today, yippee My gums sure bled a lot today. Of COURSE they did x-rays....and I had to hold back tears, just thinking about what I had THOUGHT I would get to say on this visit..."Oh no x-rays this time, I'm pregnant!" -- This is what was SUPPOSED to happen in my mind. Instead, I got to wear the stupid vest and do the stupid bitewings

Yep...The things I let get to me, is really sad. It's just been such a long road. Anyone else want to fast forward through the holidays with me?? We can't do any more treatment until at least January. What sucks the worst is this New Year's Eve will be the 2 year mark for us.

We also Looooooooooooooove Crystal Palace. Currently we have CP for dinner (never done that before) but I am thinking of changing it to breakfast...Pooh's Puffed French Toast... Then in place of CP dinner we'd do a dinner show. I'm just not sure if either of those dinner shows are worth paying out of pocket for.

I know this feeling exactly. For whatever reason the dentist was hard for me too!


So the RN never called me today with the rest of my results. Not quite sure what that means. Of course my mind goes to worst case scenario. Maybe some of the labs just take longer to come back? If I don't hear anything by tomorrow afternoon I will call and see what's up.

We did the Hopde Review - not a big fan. The show was pretty hokey and food was just ok - but I don't eat ribs so for me it was chicken and bread. They didn't serve a veggie other than baked beans. We won't do it again.
