TTC thread take 2

Morning. Still not feeling to well today. . . I'm still crampy and bleeding and have pretty much resolved that this can go either way right now and I have to leave it in God's hands. . . easier said than done of course. . . I'm not sure what is going to happen but whatever does worrying over it is not going to change the outcome. I figure that I'm going to chill on planning stuff for a while until next week when we have more information. Please know I am still gonna read and keep up on yas but I may just stay quiet for a while.

You are all in my prayers and I can't wait to read some more great news from you.:goodvibes

Do whatever you need to do E. We'll still be here whatever happens.

E......My thoughts and prayers are with you. I will keep hoping the best for you and sending loads of good thoughts your way. Here is a HUGE hug for you:grouphug:

I went to the Dr again this morning and apparently I am progressing very slow on the follistim. I should be have been done with it yesterday but have to stay on it for a few more days along with Lupron. The largest follicle right now is only at 16 and the rest are between 10-15. It is tentative that I will have the egg retrieval on either Sunday, Monday or Tuesday. I should hope to find out more tomorrow or Saturday when I go to the Dr's both days.

and how many days have you been on it so far?? I was slow to grow on the follistim (and menopur) too. :guilty:

Morning ladies! Went to the dr this am. . . again! Last night I passed a clot about the size of the palm of my hand! I was convinced this was it and that I had lost someone:sad2: Well the dr did the US and turns out what happend was that I indeed did pass a clot! (TMI ALERT) It was left over blood and blood from the tear that coagulated. By passing it the twins are alot better off! I'm still at high risk for a MC but the risk, as of today, has lowered:goodvibes Dr. K was totally cool and told me to relax and that he would see me next week. OMG you coulda knocked me over with a feather! I am so releaved!

Thanks for bearing with me!

Phew, I am glad you got good news Esbrick. Pardon my stupidity with these questions, but is the high risk for miscarriage relating to just the one that broke off, or to both because of the bleeding, or would you have been considered high risk anyway because this was done through IVF?

Crket- is this IVF you are preparing for? Sorry if I missed notes on that before- best of luck, I hope things progress better for you asap.

I hope everyone is doing well and I am still crossing my fingers for all of you.

There's no rush, my RE prefers for the follies to grow slow and steady. I think it results in getting more mature, better quality eggs. The number of follicles really doesn't matter nearly as much as how many mature eggs they get from them. Best wishes for the ER!!! Are you doing ICSI?

I've been TTC for awhile now, and have tried a couple boards but haven't found the place where I feel very encouraged. Since I've been trying to distract myself from the difficulty of TTC with a Disney Trip I figured I'd try this board. (Actually, my second daughter was just granted a Wish by Make a Wish! She says she wants to go to Disney, we're waiting for the Granters to come and ask her for it to be offical!)

I am TTC #3. My second daughter was born with a rare Congenital Heart Defect and has had several complications. Despite only having 1 functioning tube, I conceived the first two pretty easily. This time, not so much. I just got hormone testing results back last week...low progesterone so was prescribed a supplement. Everything else seemed to look pretty good. I have an appointment next month with the Infertility Specialist for a regular exam and hoping to talk about moving forward with the other testing...SA, HSG, etc. Looking forward to learning more about everyone!

Good luck! Is this your first time trying IVF? My doc said the first time is tough b/c they aren't sure how each person will individually respond to the meds.

E.....I am so happy to hear that it was a clot (well you know what I mean ;) ) and the twins are okay...phewww! I will still continue to keep you in my thoughts girl. Gets lots of rest:hug:

and how many days have you been on it so far?? I was slow to grow on the follistim (and menopur) too. :guilty:

I have been on follistim for over 9 days. The Dr originally said that I would only be on it for those 9 days but am a few days past right now. Thanks for letting me know you were slow on growing as well, always makes me feel better to know I am not alone

Hello- yes this is my very first IVF. I have had several failed iui's so hopefully this IVF will work. I am so nervous. :goodvibes

Oh wow....thanks for the info. That is interesting as I wouldn't have thought that way. I think my Dr wants to do one ICSI to see if that works as well.

I actually went to the Dr again this morning and I do have follicles on both ovaries but the biggest one I have on one side is 19....and the rest are between 10-17. I can't remember all the exact sizes of each. The nurse said they like them around 18/19.

I will be hearing from the Dr today and if my Estrodial level is high, he will have me do the HCG tonight for Sunday egg retrieval. If it's not high, I will do another night of Lurpon/follistim and HCG Sat with egg retrieval on Monday. I just wonder how many follicles will grow large/mature enough to have eggs. Thanks ladies for listening to me:goodvibes

Welcome. You've come to the right place. Everyone here is amazing and will support you every step of the way.

I am also TTC for #3. Our first we found through adoption. Our second was a pregnancy after MANY medical interventions. And #3 is still out there and we hope to find him/her through another adoption or naturally.

Good luck ckret01!
