So we've never done TSMM before (I know!), and this time we are going with a 17-mo-old. He's pretty wiggly but if he were riding with us and there's things to see I think he may not try and crawl down. :) But is there space for a little one between the two adults? Think we'll be able to manage with a wiggly one? Should my husband keep a hand on him so that it will give me an advantage AND I WILL WIN IT ALL?!

So many questions. ;)

There is definitely space for a child between two average-sized adults.
However, just a warning, the ride jerks and slings you around, so make sure the child will be ok with this.
In between playing screens, you spin and whip around in the car as you proceed to the next screen.
If you are aware of this, and prepared for it, you can make sure the child is braced between you so that he/she feels secure.

Oh yeah, he'll probably actually love that.

If I feel like he needs to be more secure, is there space for me to hold him? Do the CMs care? (Or, of course, my husband....SO THAT I CAN WIN IT ALL!) (Last time we were there he was 5mo old, so he slept soundly in the Ergo while we played Buzz Lightyear...I'm sure that's not possible again....)

My oldest was between us at 18 months old. She ended up pulling the string for my husband most of the time.

Lol! I actually was going to suggest that, but I decided to refrain!

I can't remember for certain, but it seems to me that I held one of our grandsons in my lap a time or two that we rode, letting him pull the string.
But I can't swear to the fact that he actually sat in my lap.
Maybe someone else can say for certain.

We took our son on TSMM a week after his first birthday, and he did great! The ride isn't very long and he sat in my lap for the ride. There was so much going on, and so much to capture his attention! We had no issues.
