Because right now it's a single ride for a few days. If this 'idea' spreads to multiple attractions, it could start to ruin days.

Wish there was a way that those informational posts could be flagged/stripped out for quick reading.
I have seen one report come through that folks had a FP around 9:30 or so (can't remember for sure) and got right in no wait and they were sending thru empty cars.
Nobody should let one single attraction ruin their whole day. At best it may be a disappointment in an otherwise fine day...and a handful of disappointed guests may contribute to helping Disney see that this is a stupid idea.
If they gave out different FPs per ticket/resort/onsite/offsite, I think that is the kind of thing that they would not advertise.
That way they can increase the satisfaction of such customers without ticking off everyone else. Also, how would they even advertise something like that.
On the other hand, I think if they increase the number of FPs for onsite etc, then that is something they would advertise.
When it's the only ride in a park available to the under 44' height, it's a day maker.
Stay in a deluxe resort, and you have unlimited FP+ to almost all rides, no planning, no reservation, enjoy your day, skip the long lines. Your overpriced resort room paid for it. It works perfectly at Universal Studios (except for the overpriced part). Perfectly.
I would think the opposite. This whole FP+ shebang is about manipulating crowds. How can they get the mice to run through the maze the way they want us to if we don't even know there's cheese at the end? I believe they'd for sure advertise all the perks of Deluxe lodging including more/better FP selections.
Maybe some of those decision makers used common core math in school?
Thanks for making me laugh out loud!
I love Universal!
However that system would never be sustainable at WDW. The number of rooms is just not comparable.
In fact as UO adds room capacity I believe you see them shift closer to the WDW system as far patents allow.

At the risk of straying OT, I must disagree. Just looking on the internet (TripAdvisor and others), Disney has 4816 deluxe rooms, and Universal has 2400. So, Disney has twice as many rooms, and twice as many parks. Giving unlimited FP/FOL Pass to guests there should be the same burden on the parks.
So, I believe it would work just the same. And it is so universally loved (pardon the pun) at Universal, Disney will likely get there, just via a painful path.
Back to today's experiences...I haven't seen any reports of the guest reactions (pro and con) yet.
Wow- feeling a little self important are we?
You really think your insignificant 5 fp's that you're intentionally grabbing from ticket paying guests are going to make a dent in what Disney decides to do???
Really???? You think you personally can derail WDW???? If it wasn't such a jerky thing to do I'd be
What a crappy thing to do to people who are at the parks, wanting to ride with their kids. It's one reason ap holders shouldn't be allowed to book without a reservation- there are people like you who apparently get a kick out of making fp+ reservations when they aren't even going.
squelch that rumour you cannot use unlinked magic bands to get fastpases the fastpasses are linked to the tickets which are linked to mde. No ticket no fastpass.
