tshirt ideas other than iron ons?

Last year I did the Mickey tie dies, the solar Mickey head swirls, and an iron on. My irons ons turned out beautiful, but turned out to be "disposable" shirts due to lifting/peeling , so I am reluctant to invest in another round of these. Are there any other shirt ideas floating around, or should I just hit the Disney Store? Thanks!!

And the boutique shirts are EXTREMELY CUTE!!!
They ironed on material and used heat and bond to hold it on the shirt.

Thanks for the response. Those pictures are great! I will read about it. I did stumble across the other idea with the markers, but after reading the entire thread it seemed that noone had yet really mastered the technique? I appreciate your response. Any one else have ideas?
