Just wanted to know if the TSA will allow me to bring a couple of bottles of water to mix my DS formula? I know the TSA site said unlimited formula, but did not see water mentioned in this case.

I know I can by a bottle in the airport, but I just get nervous about forgeting or places being closed because we have an early flight.

Your help is appreciated.

you cant bring water even for baby's, you will have to buy it after you get to the terminal or wait til you get on the plane and ask for bottled water then.

I guess it depends on the TSA employee...
In Dec we were able to bring a baby bottle with water in it for future mixing and also 2 sippy cups of juice for DS3. They didn't even question it.

:confused3

I think I will skip the bottle of poland spring, and bring a baby bottle with the water already in it...and see what happens! Like prior poster I think it depends on TSA agent.

Thank you both !

I agree, fill the bottle before hand and you'll probably have less hassle. We brought juice sized containers of soy milk for my son and all I did was tell TSA about it before we put the bags on the belt and they were fine with it. Just make sure you take the bottle out of the bag and put it in the bin first. I didn't do that on one flight (I had told them verbally about it) and they searched my bag just to be sure but still didn't question it.

This is what I plan on doing at the end of the month. Have a few bottles w/water already in them.

Really depends on the TSA. I would fill the bottle and then dump it if needed. Also, when you board the plane you can ask the flight attendant for a bottle of water for your child and they will give it to you. That's what I do for DS' sippy cup now. FWIW, I have heard that they will do the same for juice, but they do not have milk.

We were told when traveling 3 weeks ago (USair) that we could have one bottle of water and one bottle of formula. We had a couple bottles of water and they made us get rid of them.
I will say though that the flight crew were great and will get you bottled water etc... the only problem is that they don't have it at room temp. Only cold. (but they can heat it up some)

When I flew I brought the ready to feed cans. Can you just do that? Would save a lot of hassle.
