TSA Counter at the Resorts

What has everyone's experience been with this? If we are checking out at 9am and our flight is not until 9pm, does our luggage go with us on our flight or is it sent ahead to the airport earlier in the day and put on some other flight to our home airport? I hate the idea of my luggage arriving at my home airport hours before I do...

Your bags go on your flight with you. I haven't heard of any instances where bags have left MCO before the owners have.

There are laws/rules about unaccompanied luggage on airlines. Your luggage won't leave Florida without you.

Your luggage may leave before you. It has happened to me. But chances are your luggage will be on the same flight as you are.

Just to clarify - there's no TSA counter at any resort, passengers still have to go through security at the airport. What IS at the resorts is counters where you can check in for your flight, get your boarding pass and if you're flying on a participating-going-home airline, check your luggage.

Airline personnel can place your bags on any flight they wish. As long as it is them initiating the change. I'm sure bags that are placed on a flight other than the passenger are given an extra screening.

The passenger cannot initiate placing bags on a flight that they are not on. If a passenger checks bags then doesn't board the plane, the bags are removed.
