TS seating requests

For upcoming trip, we're using deluxe dining plan, and have ADR's for many new TS restaurants (too numerous to list!). Has anyone been seated only to say, "Wish we would have known to request a certain area/table type!" Love the wealth of information from all on the boards. Thanks in advance.

Back in Dec 2006 we went to dinner at the Coral Reef restaurant in Epcot. The hostess seated us in the very back of the restaurant far from the aquarium. After we were seated my wife went back to the check in hostess to request a table closer to the aquarium. We were then escorted to a table on the lower level close to the aquarium. The original table wasn't bad, we just wanted to be closer to the fish.

Is this something you can do when making ADR or do you wait until you check in at the restaurant?
