I am trying to keep my chin up. My family is arriving late Sunday afternoon till following Sunday,

I just got done watching The Weather Channel. TS Storm Fred will impact Florida beginning tomorrow thru Tuesday. Meteorologist are watching a 2nd Tropical Depression that will be named Grace. They are predicting it maybe stronger then Fred. That could impact Florida by next Friday!!!

I have my rain gear packed. I just would like a few days without heavy rain. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻😩😩😩🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏☔☔☔️⛈🌧🌦

Safe travel for anyone arriving like me during this storm.🙏😎☀️

Please avoid watching sensational weather "news" stations. Just go to the National Hurricane Center at https://www.nhc.noaa.gov for the best info. Right now they show that Fred will not have an impact on WDW. Its much, much too soon to know if the follow-on storm will affect the area. But Friday is the earliest it is likely to affect south FL.

Thanks for the advice. I always fret about my vacation weather.
But. I have been a Disney when a TS has rolled through.
And once a hurricane was off the Florida coast when I was there. I cruised DCL the day after and the boat was rockin. Lol. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻😎☀️

I was there during Dorian. Our flights got cancelled and we spend 3 additional days at a hurricane rate at pop century. We felt completely safe and the day before and day after the parks were empty. The lead up was worse than the actual storm.

Well, we leave CT on Saturday the 21st for WDW. I'm not concerned and not worried about it yet. So much can happen. We'll see what's going on for Wednesday and make a decision after that.
For anyone who goes to WDW in August, September, or October, this is just the reality and consequences of going then.

I watched Dorian roll in as we took off headed home. I was half-way hoping that the storm would extend our vacation.

Looks like Fred is a non-issue for the parks. However, Grace bears watching for those visiting later this week.

We were at WDW in early June 2013 when TS Andrea rolled through. I still say to this day, after dozens and dozens of trips to WDW...that was the single greatest day my family has experienced at the parks. We donned ponchos, and rode rides...no lines, no waiting the entire day at Magic Kingdom.

We are arriving on Tuesday and leaving on Sunday. Fingers crossed also. :umbrella::smickey:☔

I wouldn't worry about it right now, they have no way of knowing where those storms are going to hit this far out. Am I the only one that thinks they should have named Grace Ginger since she was following Fred?
Agree !!!! I thought the exact same thing.

Some of the best trips we've had have been during the Tropical Storms! Lots less people, poncho up and ride it out!!! :)

Fred is not looking like a big deal at all and Grace is waaay too far out to be concerned with right now, dont worry about it.
Supposedly Grace is not too organized at this time.

Agree! We were there before or during Irma and Dorian ( before parks closed) have pictures where there is NOBODY in line. But seriously it such a once in a lifetime, luck in bad luck sweet spot... But do have fond memories of being under curfew at Coronda during Dorian in the new tower. Disney really did take care of people.

and seriously if ever in orlando during a hurricane make sure you book your rooms... There were longs of locals checking into coronado to ride out Dorian.. AND disney houses tons of emergency Highline workers too. For Dorian you had crews driving in from Canada- they were being bused in to coronado.
