Trying to Rent DVC for this Sept?

I've just posted a reservation wanted for a DVC rental at xxx (mentioned that I would also consider another resort) for September. It would be my family's first trip to WDW. I'm an annual passholder here in CA & we visit DL/DCA regularly. My question is: Am I too late in the game with free dining going on? I only just posted my request yesterday. I would appreciate anyone's advice on whether we should probably try for a different time frame like Oct or Nov?

DVC members (and their renters) are not eligible for free dining, so I don't think that makes an difference. (DVC members and their guests/renters staying on points can purchase the dining plan, but don't ever get it for free).

Give it a few days and see what responses come your way. It is possible that there is no availability at AKV for your dates, so if your offer to rent didn't mention that you are willing to stay at other DVC resorts, it might help to reply to your own post and mention that.

Just my opinion, but I would suspect October & November would be even more difficult. Once the Food & Wine Fest begins, DVC resorts fill up quickly. Following that you have the holidays. If there is an "easy" time for a DVC ressie, it is September.

I would think that Oct or Nov would be more difficult than September. Plus if you open up your request to any resort, you might be able to find something.
