Trying to pay off DVC

Has anyone that has the Disney Visa card received the offer for 1.99% and 3.99% for transfer balances. I am wondering if this would work for transferring my DVC loan with 10.75% intrest to my card. I just paid off my card hoping I could. However I don't have enough credit w/them to transfer all my loan. But I could transfer a great majority of it, or even call and ask if they would be willing to transfer my whole balance. I would have till 11/12 to pay this off as I planed on getting it payed in the next year. I am just wanting to save myself as much money along the was so to make my DVC truly worth it. I see so many of you that have really thought some of these things thru and I purchased DVC not really knowing all the ins and outs, like buying resale and I didn't know you all exsisted (Disboarders) either. Any help or reccomondations would be greatly appreciated.

I was looking into it, and remember reading the fine print you have to pay some % of transfer fee and such.

Did it come with transfer checks? If so, you may be able to do it by writing yourself the check and then sending the money directly to Disney.

We did this years ago to pay for our new windows when we were offered a chance to get .9% until balance paid off!

I know when you check about the offer on the site (we got it too but I never looked at it), it has to be a credit card but don't know if the checks are different. I would give them a call.

Remember that with most balance transfers it will cost you a transfer fee of 3-4% for the transfer that is compounded over the time of the loan in addition to the low interest rate. The other catch is that if you miss a payment or get a blip on your credit they have to option to increase that rate to usally the cash advance rate which is much higher then your regualr rate.

Be careful and read the fine print then call and ask more questions before you do this.
