I have been told that I am to take a vacation (horrible I know) and of course I thought of Disney. The problem is that I really like going with my oldest dd, Bizzibee. The 2 of us really like Disney and know what to do and where we want to go. My dh would like to go sort of...and I would like to have a vacation with him and her dh is not sure he wants to go or not but doesn't really want her to go. Now he says that he wants a vacation that is just the 2 of them. I can understand that. But he only wants to drive to the desert and she doesn't. Also, my 2 ds have said they would like to go with us as well. That would be 6 people traveling in a mini van. I am trying to find the cheapest way to do this. Trying to find a Canadian at Par special (that doesn't seem to exist) or other route. I thought of doing the pass part in 2 parts. One with 4 days and the other with 3 as there are a couple of other things we would like to do. I really thought when I started this it would be easy. My dd & I going to Disney. Any thoughts or Ideas? Oh I also thought about just seeing if I could get the value rooms at $55.00/nite and then either buying a annual pass or some other kind of pass.

There is a Canadian at Par Deal still going on but it is a package.

Might be worth checking into especially if you just want 3 nights.

Actually I wanted 2 different times for the same vacation. A 4 day package and a 3 day package. The time in between I wanted just a room. We will have to do a few other things while we are down there but staying on Disney property would have been best. They want to do Nasa and we also have to visit some friends of ours who live in Orlando. I think they also want to see Daytona Beach but we might do that on our way home. I still don't know who and how many are going though. Also the Canadian deal seems to be really hard to get. They seem to be all sold out

Keep trying-when did you want to go?

It may be that only one of the days is sold out.
Have you tried the BDP code-Worked for us for March.

No I haven't tried that code yet but I want to go the end of Jan. It is very frustrating to now know who and how many are going. I haven't told my dh that our 2 ds want to go as well. They will be paying for themselves but we will all have to fit into the van. I have tried putting it in DU hands right now to see what they can do. I will be talking to my dh tonight at supper to go over a few things and see what he says. He also thought a home away from home might be better but I looked into it and we would need a 3 bedroom one and it is rather expensive.

Actually, since you will have a vehicle - here's what we usually do. DH and I usually book a deluxe resort for ourselves and the kids usually pick their own resort (one they can afford) to stay in. Or, you could get connecting rooms at a moderate/value.
We make arrangements to either pick them up in the a.m. and go to the parks or they take WDW transportation and meet us. We usually have one place per day booked to eat and everyone knows where to be when. Works great! Gives us some time alone and also time together (and the kids get their independence).

That would be a good idea but at this time none of us can afford anything but a value. I would like connecting rooms because we are going to be bringing things for us to have for breakfast ect and it would be easier if we could go back and forth. After getting a couple of quotes from DU I am really leaning to getting the room rate at $55.00 (more with a third person) and buying a 7 day pass in advance from Disney. In the long run I think that is the cheapest. It will give me a couple of less days at Disney but we do have other things we will have to do so we won't be as rushed and yet still get to spend more time at Disney than in the past. My dh has been talking about even taking our tent trailer down and having the kids pitch tents. I really don't want to go that route although we would have a kitchen with us. I feel sorry for Shirley at DU because I really have needed several different quotes so that I can see which one would be the best for us. I really do hope that Bizzibee can come though because the two of us work really well at Disney. I will have to make some kind of decision very soon though because the specials I have been looking at will be gone. Oh DU did get me a part quote on Can. at Par. Something I couldn't do talking directly to Disney.

Does it have to be onsite? Since you're driving anyway you could look into a 3 bdrm through skyauction. Lots of space, washer & dryer, kitchen for your breakfasts and snacks. Buy 5 or 7 day PHP, and you can take off as many days from the park as you like.

We would really rather stay right in Disney. And the price of the value is really a great price. Right now I have different people trying to decide whether they will be going or not, and they all keep changing their minds. My dh has now said that he knows I have the need to go to Florida and Disney he doesn't so he won't be going. He will not stop me going and in fact will finance it but he just doesn't feel any real desire to go. So I just have to make sure there is someone that will go with me.
