Hi!
We are trying to get a spot for a weekend in December but the campground is all booked already!
Is there a more efficient way to get a spot, other than checking the website every day?

Basically no. December is very popular and with limited sites it fills up easily over a year in advance. As the time gets closer your chances will increase.

Yup like tigerdad already said you just have to stalk the website for cancellations. Many many people stay for multiple weeks during the holiday period and they book up way in advance.

Multiple weeks ? I saw two campers on a different forum lamenting that is was terrible to leave the Fort, one had stayed for 60 days, the other 90.

DisneyMom as the others have said right now regularly stalking the reservation system is your best option. Two months ago not long after late 2021 reservations opened up we decided we wanted an extra week. Our TA had already closed their booking window for regular requests for that time frame. One of her agents did pencil me in for a site in her her group as a back up plan in case she got a cancellation. Wasn't thrilled with the prospect of moving after a week or paying for MEADOWS Premium site Stalked the boards every morning and night and picked up all nights I needed piecemeal. Then called reservations and had them combine into 1 reservation

I suppose if you have the cash you can stay there indefinitely! They usually let you keep the same site when you check back in each 30 days.

And this won't usually cost you any additional money either.

Yep, a legitimate Authorized Disney Agent will not charge you anything for their services as they get paid a commission from Disney. Stay away from any agent that does charges you for booking a Disney Vacation.
