Trying to figure out when to go!

DH and I really want to stay at BCV this year. We wanted to go 10/23-11/4 but I am nervous we won't get the room we want! Seems like this is a popular time to go (Halloween and F&W). Now I am thinking maybe we should change our dates. Our twin daughters turn 4 on 9/30 so I was thinking we could go for that. What do you think? Do you think we would have a better chance getting a room the end of September?

I think either of those dates will be tough to get at BCV. BCV books up very quickly after the 7 month window for reservations during the food and wine festival, which runs from 9/30 to 11/13 this year. I would suggest calling Member Services now and inquiring whether there is any availability at BCV for the end of September since you are now within 7 months of that time period. If they don't have anything, call at 9AM on the morning of your 7 month window for the late October stay and see if you can get a BCV room then. Good luck.

I haven't read anyone having any success this year during F&W getting a villa at BCV. I booked a 2 bedroom at the 11 month mark and now need another studio but I think I'm going to end up paying for a room at BC instead. I will waitlist but I'm not holding out any hope since I haven't had any luck in prior years doing it either.

There are several threads titled "food and wine" where many people are posting talking about getting rooms at BCV during food and wine, at the 7 month window.
I think people ARE finding availability at 7 months. I doubt you'll find it now for 9/30 week, but I bet if you called today you could find something for 10/8.

I just called MS and the only way we could get that week in September is if we broke up our stay. With 2 kids I really don't want to switch resorts. So I am going to wait till the 23rd and try and get 10/23-11/7. Fingers crossed we can get a room!!

10/8 has no availability for BCV - not in a studio, 1 or 2 bedroom. I am waitlisted.

9/30 there were no studios at BCV either. The F&W starts then.
