Trying to choose a hotel in Val d'E

I was planning on staying at L'Elysee on October but that's now fully booked for my dates so I'm looking for an alternative and have narrowed it down to the following two...

Hipark Serris - looks like a nice hotel with more spacious rooms and the Peps bus stops nearby. On the downside, there is no bus before 9ish so I will have to walk if I want to get to EMH in the morning (not the end of the world but I will have to take my bag on the last day).

Ibis Marne la Vallee - smaller rooms and a bit more expensive but it is right next to the RER which means more flexibility in terms of getting to and from the hotel, especially if I want to pop back during the day.

Has anyone stayed at either of these? I'm going in circles trying to decide!

We stayed at the Ibis for 2 nights last week (after 5 nights at the Residhome). The Ibis was good for a short stay. The location was great, right next to the RER station and only 2 1/2 mins to the park. Rooms were clean, although there was no kettle if you like a morning coffee (we knew about this in advance and took our own.) If we were going on a last minute short trip I would book there again if the Residhome opposite was booked or was significantly more expensive.

Thanks for the reply. Not having a kettle isn't a deal breaker but I still think the Hipark rooms sound a bit nicer.

Also, considering the Kyriad now as it's pretty cheap.

We stayed at hi-park in June and really enjoyed it there. We were driving so the bus was not an issue for us (and we hardly ever manage emh even when onsite lazy bones that we are:rotfl2:)

I would recomend it - it was modern, clean, quiet, warm and the kids loved the pool. We would happily stay there again.

Thanks for that info. Hipark does sound like the nicest option, it's just a shame the buses aren't more frequent.

The Ibis is my favorite hotel in Val D'Europe. Never had any problems there. the RER is usually much more fast than any busses too. ;)

The one time we were at the HiPark we found it very incovenient - only had one car, I am a morning person and boyfriend likes to sleep in. Nothing wrong with the hotel though, if you can live with the transport it's perfectly fine.

Had an absolutely atrocious experience at the Kyriad in December and strictly refuse to go back there.

Thanks Vala. I went for the Hipark in the end as I don't mind the walk if I need to. Will probably give the Ibis a try next time.

I read about your experience at the Kyriad when searching around - nightmare!

we stayed in the hipark this april, it's now our absolutely favourite hotel ... we walked every single day ... really straightforward easy walk with the advantage of coming in at the disney village security entrance so minimal queue. we actually walked back for our luggage on the last day and then jumped on the shuttle from the Newport Bay back to the airport, worked well for us :)

How long does the walk take from the village to the hotel?

it took us no more than 15 minutes if we went direct - i.e. leaving by the exit behind the world of disney store .... a couple of days we wandered through the village and round the lake to the Newport Bay - that took longer - it's about 5 minutes walk from the Newport Bay! We are two adults though ... no little legs needing to keep up with us!

Thanks Janie, that's good to know. It'll be just me so I don't mind the walk. I've had a look on google maps and, as you say, it looks pretty straightforward.
