Congrats on your purchase, I'll love the camera. FYI, Nikon this month released new firmware upgrades for the D70. You can download them on-line and self-install them. Per Nikon there were some minor problems that were fixed, but members of the D70 user community are anecdotally reporting that the fixes also seemed to improve their image quality.
