Frankly this thread isn't helping anyone plan a trip either. I will say it again....
BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE.
If you want this place to be more "planny" and less negative, then post threads that actually help folks plan. Starting a thread simply to lecture those who do otherwise is completely counterproductive. Heck...FLOOD the board with planning posts and drive the others off the first page. Here are some ideas for you:
Best time of day to hit the mountains in MK?
Where to go first at rope drop?
Which way do you go around the park (clockwise or counter)?
Best streetmosphere act?
What's the best nighttime show at wdw?
How do I thank a CM?
Best transportation offering at WDW?
How does photopass work?
Where is the best place to watch the parade from?
And no, I don't care to start any of these threads myself because I do find value in the negative posts as well. I don't look at Disney through rose-colored glasses. For me, it's good to know the potential pitfalls so I can work to avoid them myself or be prepared for the possibility of it.
I'm still reading lame one-liners reference shoveling snow.
Well to be fair had the sarcastic (and inappropriate) comment about snow shoveling not been said to begin you wouldn't have to be reading lame one-liners.
Yes, I agree, but can't we all agree it's just not funny anymore?![]()
I know others have mentioned the possibility of a separate board for FP+ so I assume there is a reason that this idea was shot down?
With a separate board, newbies who really want to read about all of the feedback on FP+, both good and bad - could go there.
But those who just want the general Attraction and Strategies info - the kind of info that used to be the basis of this board - can get that without being distracted and (possibly discouraged) by the negativity of the FP+ specific info.

How do people who start these types of threads not see the irony in starting a completely off topic thread to complain or lecture about something they think is off topic? If there are so many people who hate discussing FP+ and want to talk about every other aspect of a Disney trip, FP+ would not be monopolizing the conversation. Start the threads!
I agree. FP+ is the hot topic here because... well... it IS the hot topic at Disney World. Thus, it's discussed. I still get lots of good information from ppl here on every other topic. Even the same ones that I'll butt heads with over my pro-FP+ stance have priceless info on anything else I've asked.
FP+ is new... it's change... it's touring differently than ppl used to... it's gonna be talked about.

That's true, but it's impossible to get useful information, w/o having to read post after post of negative comments posted by the same few people repeatedly. The board could benefit from a "FP+ for those who want to do nothing but complain" thread where they could post all the not-so-funny jokes & constant complaining all in one place. The other FP+ threads could contain useful info.
How about a "FP+ for those that are just so grateful Disney allows them to breathe their air for $5000" thread where they could post how wonderful everything is without addressing any flaws. The other FP+ threads could contain useful info.
Equal opportunity snark. There are over the top people on both sides of the fence. There is lots of useful information that can be found in someone's negative opinion of FP+ as well as the positive threads.

I refuse to believe you that you truly don't understand what this poster and the other poster are saying. I know you are smarter than that.![]()

I do understand what they're saying. They're saying negative threads should be put in one place and "everything else" can go elsewhere, so people can use those. Meaning, the negative threads are just "constant complaining" and provide no value.
You, on the other hand, have managed to absorb and regurgitate the condescending attitude of those other posters very well!
