Looks like we are heading to us/ioa for spring break! Having a hard time deciding between HRH and RP. Can someone compare and contrast the pool areas for me? We've stayed at RP before but never HRH. The only part we've really seen is the lobby and The Kitchen restaurant. Also what are your opinions on club level at HRH? How does it compare to Disney resorts?

Thanks! :goodvibes

We are having the same dilema, dont know if its worth the extra $$. Stayed at RP last year and we were very happy with it but would like a change.
Hope someone will come along with some good DIS advice:goodvibes

I prefer RP over HR because of the theming, favorite pool is actually at Portifino, but to me RP pool and HR are fairly comparable, other than the slide. To me HR is a little too sterile looking, lots of white color, RP is more colorful, more of a tropical feel. But that's just me.

We stay at the HRH every year. Love it. Our son is a drummer and we all love Rock -n- Roll. The memorabilia, music and staff make the experience great. Service has always been great and the breakfast buffet at The Kitchen is a great way to start your day. Never stayed at RP or PBH, this just fits us and why mess with what works.....

We stayed club level at Boardwalk Hotel in Disney 2 times and really loved it. I also stayed at HRH club level 2 years ago and am going back in June this year. Haven't been to any other Universal hotels but I think Disney is a completely different experience. The club at HRH is much smaller and the staff although somewhat friendly isn't the same caliber. They offer a nice breakfast selection of bagels, cereal, fruits etc. there were always bags of chips and drinks available throughout the day. We really weren't around much at lunch or dinner time but in the evening they had a nice offering of deserts, sodas, and beer. I can't remember if they had wine. We did really enjoy the hotel decor and the pool. I had my twin 12 year old nephews with me and we stayed in a kids suite on club level. They really loved it. If I had been to HRH before Disney I probably wouldn't have expected so much but it's hard to follow a Disney vacation. The kids suite was very roomy with a king bed and flat screen tv and the kids room had 2 twin beds with another tv. Our view of the courtyard and boat dock was beautiful.
