Just reading the treads about Cinderellas Breakfast and the fustration getting a ressie. Try the lunch. It is great!!

We never could get into the breakfast at the castle no matter how early I called. The story book princess is nice but my daughter really wanted to eat in the castle. Out of luck, I found out that Disney is piloting have a Cinderella lunch at the castle. We went the first week of August and had no problems getting the ressie. It was wonderful!! The food was outstanding (Major domo pie) and we saw Cinderella, snow white, mary poppins, sleeping beauty, and belle. When we go again we are going for lunch!! :lovestruc

I concur! We did lunch this year and saw all the princesses DD wanted to see! We did the breakfast last August and enjoyed it too! But we got the lunch ressies no problem!
It is a nice alternative! :flower:

My family (including 12 y.o. DS) has always loved to eat lunch and dinner at CRT. Now that CRT has characters at lunch, we just might be dinner only visitors. We wouldn't consider eating there for breakfast. Although I haven't ever been to CRT for breakfast is seems to me as though it's an overhyped affair with mediocre food. And, then again, I do have a preteen boy who just isn't into the princess: thing! I know how many parents want to give the princess experience to their kids, and just how hard it has been to score a table for a CRT breakfast, so for the sake of those parents I am glad that CRT has expanded that option to lunch.

I just tried for ressies this morning (91 days out) and nothing was available for lunch...I am SOOO sad!! I will try again tomorrow.

Thanks so much. I'd always gone for lunch before it was a character meal. Last week I tried dinner for the first time and was very disappointed (felt very rushed). I'm going to give lunch another try!

We're going to WDW for 1st time at end of Sept. and when I booked our trip they let me know that I was already under 90 days and could make ADR's. It wasn't until a couple weeks later that a friend (and Disney Fanatic ::MinnieMo ) filled me in on the importance of ADR's (especially for us since we're a group of 9). I'm ashamed :guilty: to admit I'd never even heard of Breakfast at CRT. Luckily, I read a review of the new Princess princess: lunch at CRT and was able to get in within about 45 days of our trip. Apparently, word has started to really get out about the lunch because when I called back a couple weeks ago to make one last ADR the CM was reviewing my other ADR's and said I was lucky to have got lunch at CRT because the word was out and spots were filling up quickly.

I was one who couldn't get a breakfast ressie and opted for a lunch ressie instead (we also have a dinner ressie for our last night too!!!) In english terms what is the domo pie - I have read the listing on allears but would like to know any opinions of it is like...(this seems like the best option for DH)
Also there is only 1 dessert listed for lunch - are there other options and doesn anyone know what they might be???
Dinner menu I don't think we'll have a problem with at all but I booked the lunch for the princess interaction (and my fil wanted to bring the kids here) and I'm a little concerned with what there is to offer on the lunch menu. Ease my mind please...

We just got back and ate there yesterday afternoon, it was a truly wonderful experience. Great food, the kids got a kick out of being called "lords" and ladies". My little girl loved seeing the princesses and my 11 yr old son loved the Salmon and the idea of eating in the Castle, it was just wonderful.

This makes me nervous...our 90+10 days starts on Wednesday and I gave our agent a very detailed list of ADR requests (with time windows and two back-up restaurants for each meal--I am so neurotic!)...so I have two days where I can fit in the lunch because it is our one "MUST DO"...I thought I had better chances since breakfast is more popular and we really would prefer the lunch. I think I am going to be walking on eggshells until Wednesday when I know whether I got all our ADRs:( And I think the worst part about going in early December is that it is very popular with DISers & people that really know Disney with Mousefest & all so the really popular places likely book faster because everyone knows to book at 90 days out....I wish it was Wednesday so I could get this over with!!!!

After weeks of stressing about the breakfast, when the day came and I called the nice CM told me it was sold out. This was 7:01 in the morning...UGH she then said we do have a 2:00pm lunch if you would like that. I booked it out of desperation and so far from the food thread it looks awesome.

Now I really can't wait for October! princess:

WE did LUNCH TOO!!! We Loved It!!! it was a great break from the heat and the sun for an hour or so and the food was GR8!! We had no problems getting our first choice for lunch and when we arrived only had to wait about 5 minutes before going upstairs!!! we sat at the center window looking out at fantasy land!!! It was wonderful. I hope it stays!!

I feel for you :grouphug: I gave my TA our choices but didn't want to confuse her with back-up plans. Today was my 90 plus 10 day and when I got thru at 7:01 breakfast was sold out for the dates I wanted (11/29-12/3) but I did get a lunch on 12/3. My TA didn't have any luck getting CRT breakfast either but she got everything else within 20 minutes of the time I requested. She'll be calling back on the 90 day mark and so will I to double our chances of getting CRT. It seems alot of people are having better luck on the 90 day mark. I'll also be canceling my lunch if I get a breakfast or lunch on the day I really want it so don't forget to keep checking for cancelations.

Good luck, Calie

:wizard: I got my lunch ADR less than a month before our trip so don't give up if the TA doesn't get it for you, have some faith hope and pixie dust...

funny....I've been trying for CRT lunch since the 90 day mark and still cannot get it...

We had lunch at CRT on August 22nd and it was fantastic! I was thrilled when I read they were offering a lunch. My daughter does not eat breakfast type foods and I really didn't want to have to go crazy trying to get the breakfast ADR. When I made the ADR the end of May we had our choice of times and days the whole week we were there. I think it may be getting harder to get because more people know about it now.

The food was very good. My friend had the major domo pie and loved it - meat, veggies, and mashed potatoes in a pie shell. She said her husband would have loved it also. I had the pork loin - delicious!! I did not care for the mustard grits it came with but I do not like mustard. The girls both got the chicken tender meal. I loved that it came with fresh fruit instead of fries. I almost forgot about the appetizer plate. The girls got cut up veggies and cheese and we got all kinds of things. My favorite was the crab ball. There is only one choice for dessert - the blueberry cobbler. I am not a fan of cobbler type desserts but this was fantastic. The girls got vanilla ice cream with a chocolate crown. We did have a wonderful window seat and the character interaction was great. We saw Wendy, Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, and Belle. The Fairy Godmother was in the lobby. We had just done the Family Magic Tour and I still had my name tag on and Wendy noticed and made a big deal about how we helped save Magic Kingdom. She must have told Cinderella because when she came over she was thanking the girls for saving everyone.

All in all I think the lunch is a great alternative to the breakfast and will go back next trip. It is also a great value. When we were checking in people were trying to come have lunch and were surprised that people book 3 months out. The one thing I have learned from my Disney trips is that a little research before a trip goes a long way.
