My daughter and her boyfriend said their MD Quizno's wouldn't accept the freebie coupons - anyone else have trouble?

The one in my town has a sign that says that they don't honor the buy one, get one free b/c they can afford to give away food. They did take the $2 off large sub though

I tried at the one by my work yesterday & they wouldn't take it either. She said they don't participate in certain promotions. I took my coupon & walked out without ordering anything.

We used on on Monday and it was just fine - just be prepared to show id. The manager said they had just gotten an email that morning clarifying the need to see an id, but then said they had no idea why.

I could not get a coupon to print at all, no matter which printer I tried to use. My mom went to get her free sub and after hassle, they made her one which she said was had half the filling of the ones she normally gets there.

I have heard it was something corporate pushed but the franchises didn't want it, so they are rebelling against corporate... but the people who suffer are the people who will NEVER go back after such rude treatment!

No, we had no trouble actually my husband went w/his coupon and mine and they gave him 2 sandwiches...

We have used mine and DH at 2 locations in Tulsa, and both took them.

It isn't just this promotion. Quizno's is the most lax franchise I have ever encountered in terms of letting their operators pick and choose what promotions they will and will not participate in. There is no consistency whatsoever across the chain, and it can get really annoying.

That said, I like their sandwiches, but I pay attention to which shops are coupon-friendly and which ones are not, and the tetchy ones don't get my business.

I used one in the Twin Cities without a problem. The guy that made the sub wanted to know why the coupon said "undefined" for all the categories. I told him I had no idea and I had submitted all of the required information. He did ask for my ID which I produced. He glanced at it and that was that. Out the door I went with my sub (which was really good but kind of tiny.....it definitely didn't fill me up! )

They said they would go out of business if they accepted any more - they had hundreds the first few days. I guess like any promotion, there are people that take advantage and use several email addresses and use multiple coupons. Some of posters on the freebie forums that I read boast of printing 20 coupons and making pigs of themselves at stores that offer free items.

You can't print 20 coupons unless you have 20 email addresses. I wasn't able to print any coupons because it just wouldn't print, and they only allow you to try once!

We've tried two Quizno stores so far, both refused to honor the free sub coupon. :sad2:

Seems counter productive to offer a coupon none of the independant franchises will accept. Just creates ill will if you ask me. :confused3

I filled out the form, but never got the coupon via email, so no freebie sub for me :(

I received the email link, but when I clicked on it to print my coupon, it said that the promotion was over. When I signed up, it had not reached the limit!

I had no problem with the Quiznos in Winter Garden, Fl. They had gotten a few of the coupons on Monday and the manager was really funny - first he asked if I was me (my name) and then laughingly said okay now spell your name backwards! So I proceeded to spell my name backwards and by the time I finished the other customer in the store, the two other employees, the manager and I were laughing really hard! The customer who appeared to be a friend of the managers said that if the manager wasn't going to give me the sandwich for free, he was going to buy it for me for doing that! I ended up with a great sandwich and will certainly return to this store as the manager was quite a salesman, asking me where I worked and saying that many of his customers call ahead and order their sandwiches and pick them up after work.

:cheer2:

No problem using my coupon in Champaign, IL today. The clerk typed in the code from my coupon into what looked like his credit card machine. Apparently my code was valid and I walked out with a free sandwich. Yumm! :goodvibes
