Just wondering if it is usual to have difficulty picking up dropped ADR's? I have had 2 dropped for me this morning (thank you!) and one took an hour to come up, and the other didn't come up at all even though I checked repeatedly for over an hour! This was my #1 wanted dining reservation :(

Catching a dropped ADR even when you plan/coordinate with someone is still very much a crapshoot. At any given time there are many, many, many - many people looking for the "must have" ADRs. Once kicked back into the system it is out there for all.. Last year I did a last minute trip, booked at 6 weeks from the arrival date, I was able to get all my must haves by just checking multiple times a day, I didn't coordinate with anyone, but lucked out when others changed or refined plans closer to their trip. Don't give up on what you want, just keep checking - and checking ;)

Keep checking. I got the only ADR that was dropped for me. The Dessert Party on final cancellation day so I am sure there were people checking. I was then I looked at the cancellation board.

All of my other ADRs BOG, Tuskar House, Chef Mickeys, SciFi among others I just got by checking occasionally until 2 weeks out then a few times a day.

2 weekends before a trip many start cancelling. I saw just about everything come up.

Good Luck

Last week my daughter was in the hospital for 5 days ... And we were supposed to be checking in today. Pushed our trip out a few week (during FD too), and I've picked up a CRT, Ohana, LTT, 1900 PF, and CP at great times... All if them picked up in the past 24 hours. Only thing I'm in desperate need of is 2 BBB... It's possible to get what you want with persistence...

An hour is normal I think, RSVPs don't get returned to the "pool" immediately - probably some sort of batch release back to the system.

A few months back I had actually started the process to reserve a time and then closed the web page at the last moment as my family members and I discussed the itinerary over the phone. After 5 minutes to resolve the dispute I went back to reserve it and the time was gone! What're the odds that somebody was looking at the exact same restaurant at the exact same time and trying to score a late lunch reservation at 10pm at night?! (it wasn't even a popular restaurant!)

It came back an hour later. But it was a tense 60 minutes. ;)

I am glad she is out of the hospital and you are planning again.

Yes if you try to get an ADR and do not go through with it or there is a website problem it comes back in an hour. However if someone drops an ADR it goes into the pool almost immediately.

So sorry to hear your little one has been so sick! I hope things are better now and that it makes your WDW vacation that much better. :)

Thanks to all for your encouraging words. I"m going to be stalking MDE until I get the ADR's I want! Have a great day all!
