Trouble getting ressies! Can I switch TS for CS?

I have days that I cannot find a single opening for TS meals! I will be there 10/3-10/13 and we have 9 in our party. We are willing to split up (and have done so in order to get several ressies) but now we are wondering if we might have better luck just getting all CS meals for the rest of the days. Do you know if you can change TS credits for CS? When I booked the package, I read about this somewhere-- or did my TA tell me (?)-- I cannot remember now! Anyone know?! I haven't seen this info on anything recent.

I bet all these folks who are saving their credits to use for more meals by sharing meals are filling up the restaurants more than Disney expected. Some of us can't get ONE ressie each day. I'm hoping Disney will take mercy on us and let us use all CS meals since we've tried for a while now with no luck.

I know. I've tried to change some and couldn't. We are only a party of 3 heading out on 9/25. Good luck. You could try the places that don't need them. The ESPN place at BW does not accept PS. You should look into those places. Also you may want to try using the TS credits for breakfast or lunch....

BTW what does bump mean?

Wow! Thats incredible! Are you checking all the resturants in the resorts too! I'll be there the same time as you and I thought it would be a slower time! Have you called more than once? If not, try again, you never know!

Take heart! Since your trip is in october the later seatings have not openned yet. The later seatings open about 3 weeks before each of your dates. For example, I leave in 2 1/2 weeks and just this week I made a dinner ressie for 7:30PM at 50s PT, I made a dinner ressie for CRT for 7:45PM and these were all tables for 9. I also made a ressie for the Plaza (lunch) and Trails End (lunch)--again for 9. I know for sure that the 50s Prime Time, CRT/dinner, and Mana Melrose, along with others open their later seatings within 3 weeks. I must say though, there are no more later seatings to open at EPCOT, since their hours are always the same, plus with food and wine festival, that really fills up the WS restraurants. Another negative is that you are traveling during the Colombus Day weekend...ugh. We are there Sept. 14-23 (10 days) and, of course, made most of my ressies 90 days ago, but have been fine tuning all last week, which included canceling several ressies for groups of 9. Maybe you are over looking some wonderful other places that you've never tried. I plan to try some new places on this trip because of the dining program, we added Kona Cafe at the Poly and Concourse Steakhouse at CR, to our list. These places seem to have better availability. good luck.

No, you cannot use a TS for a CS. Their computers will not allow it.

How about changing your parks around for the time you are there to get some TS....or doing park hopping (MK for the day, and dinner at Epcot)

I can't believe that EVERY sit down restuarant in every park and resort is booked for the entire night. I can understand that if you are in AK, you may want to eat dinner there, but since they only have 2 TS restaurants for dinner (Bomas and Jiko),and one of them (Jiko) is a Signature restaurant, you just may not be able to get in on that day. Spend the day in AK and go to a resort or another park for dinner.

I can't imagine that every restaurant in Epcot is booked for an entire night. They have 10 regular TS and 1 Signature. Then within walking distance, there are 4 TS restaurants at Beach/Yacht Club plus a signature restaurant, and another 3 TS at Boardwalk plus a signature. That's 17 regular TS restaurants and 3 Signature all in 1 area. I can't imagine that they are all full.

I had to swap around a few of the days to get the times and restaurants we wanted.

Make sure you check the PDF document and look for all of the restaurants that are TS.

No one had answered me and my question was getting lower on the list. I was afraid it would go away before anyone responded so I replied to myself to "bump" it higher, hoping to give time for people to see it and respond.

I think the problem is the large size party. I just ran into problem making reserv. for party of 8. Could get 2 tables at the times I wanted .. but all large tables are already reserved. I called 85 days before trip.

What time is considered a later seating??? :confused3

By the way Bump means someone wants to bump the post back to the top so that it gets seen.

When I made my CRT/dinner ressie the last seating was 5:45PM, now it's 7:45PM for the night we're there (depends on park hours). The lastest for 50s PT was around 5:30PM, now they have up until 8:00PM.

We just got back, and I'm now getting all of my receipts and otes around to post dining reviews. That being said, on our last day, we didin't have any CS left, but had just enough TS left for one last meal. We didn't have time for a TS, so went down to the Food Court at ASMovies and asked if we could use our TS credits there. The guy at the register was very nice and went to ask a supervisor. The supervisor brought a card out, swiped it and sure enough, we used our last TS credits at the food court a couple hours before we left. I would ask...they should be able to do it.

Yep, we had one TS left on our last day also (son left early, another story!) and we were able to use it at the food court at the CBR. They just had to get a manager to approve it.
