tropical storms

So much for my trip, guess I won't have to worry bout them ParkHopper pass's now!! Due to fly out of Washington DC Friday night around 6pm, don't look like thats happenin now!! With a return flight on Tuesday, well, all I can say now is THANKS CHARLEY!!!

Just keep in touch with the airline. One thing about hurricanes and especially this one is that they move very fast. In fact they think this one won't dump a llot of water because it is going so fast. I remember the day after Andrew was beautiful. That is what helped make it surreal was all this damage buut clear blue skys. After you really worry about downed power lines, building damage, trees and debris. Somehow I think Disney will be up and running very soon after the danger is gone.

The whole state of Florida has been declared a state of emergency.

This storm the way it is projected to hit can cause problems in lots of areas.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Governor Jeb Bush has declared a state of emergency ahead of the two tropical storms bearing down on Florida.

Tropical Storm Bonnie could be at hurricane strength by early tomorrow morning, just off the Panhandle coast. Tropical Storm Charley is already near hurricane strength, with arrival expected off the southwest Florida coast sometime Friday.

The declaration of emergency allows the state to move resources around to meet local disaster preparadness and management needs. It also allows Bush to seek help from the federal government if required.
