Tropical Depression may be forming next week

I'm at Yacht Club currently. It's not raining yet, but it is very windy but overall quite comfortable. They are saying rain is about a 1/2 hour out.

:grouphug: Hugs to all our Floridian residents, and Disney vacationers in the path of the storm; stay safe.
Hope tomorrow will be a better day.

Speaking of weather related...can someone direct me to policy re: closure of water parks because of thunder/ lightning?
Or at least share with me what your experience has been?

We are leaving Friday and it looks like storms chance most days (it is June after all).

Thanks!

It looks like Orlando/WDW are going to get hit! Stay safe all of you that are currently there!!!! :firefight

Sunny, hot, and humid at the Boardwalk as of 2:08 PM.
Looks like the first squall shifted north, but I'm sure very wet, windy weather is in our near future.

Glad everything's ok so far! Looks like you might be getting it tonight!! There's a Tropical Storm Warning for Orange County!

So far, just a very very brief rain pour this afternoon. Not much else. But satellite shows more rain coming.

Pools are open. Closed briefly during the downpour but when that stopped just as quickly as it started, the pool opened back up.

Doubt it. If school does get canceled and people can come home from work, there will definitely more locals there. It's just a normal Monday for most, just a little more wet.

Schools aren't cancelled and youth entertainment was still on schedule an Disney springs. This is nothing more than a blustery weather event when it finally gets under way. Tornado chance is only 5% per WESh.

We are at Coronado Springs. It started pouring after we got back to our room, maybe 1:30-1:45? Not sure what time it was, but it didn't rain very long. Looks like it is going to start again fairly soon. Tropical Storm warning until 6:00 pm, some other alert for it until 7:00 p.m.

I'm not sure where the policy is but from my experience if there is a pending T-storm they will start with closing the big slides if it is in the direct storm path. A CM told me they have check points and if they are experiencing the weather they know its headed their way. If it progresses and they see lighting at all they close everything.

Last year I was at BB when a storm moved in... The big slide close yet the storm was about 10 miles away and BB was in the direct path. I heard this over the radio as I was sitting by a lifeguard. About 2 minutes later is starting down pouring. It rained for a few minutes and they allowed us to stay in the water but then I heard over the radio lighting was spotted and they closed everything. AND they did it quickly too. They made you clear out of the pool area. We waited for like 30 minutes but it wasn't let up so we left. It continued to rain for the next 2 hours. The hotel pool was closed also.

If its just a light shower they don't close. I've been at BB when it was just raining (not lighting and skys weren't really dark)... everything stayed open.

We are CSR too! We spent the day at HS, came back to resort around 330. Don't know what our plans are for the evening yet, DS doesn't really feel like going back out. Rain is coming down pretty hard at the minute

We were at Epcot all morning. It felt crowded to me in Future World. Definitely more than yesterday at MK. We were 3rd in line for Joy and Sadness and then waited maybe 5 minutes for Baymax. We used FP for Soarin and it seemed to take awhile. Lines for LWTL was busy for that ride, Nemo said 15, but seems crowded, Figment was 25 minutes! But I had grabbed a FP for it. We then headed to WS and it didn't seem too crowded. We were eating lunch at Via Napoli when the rain cam through around 2. It was clear skies after we left the restaurant, then started to pour while we were waiting for the bus back at 3pm. Was VERY windy, blowing, and puddling water on the sides of the road for part of the ride back. I hate driving in that stuff so it was not fun for me. Pool still open at the hotel, steady rain now.
