Tron Costume

I heard from a reliable source that Yavn said that the Tron costume would be coming in a DVD. Has anyone else heard this too and do you have any information as to which DVD and when?

I have not heard anything about a DVD to get the Tron costumes. Hopefully it will be like the Herbie DVD.

Have not heard anything one way or the other and since Yavn posted about this:

No date set yet for carpet...I know that's not a good answer but it's the truth. As for Tron, perhaps late summer...The real question is should we do more Tron stuff?

makes me wonder if it is true or not. Looking at Disney release calendar there is not Tron movie set to be released this year. Yavn say maybe late this summer for Tron so makes me wonder if your source is correct.

He said Yavn said it in his room. Tron could be with any Disney DVD I guess but if it was to be in a DVD it would have to be decided by now for sure. That stuff takes some time.

I have a strong feeling that August will be Tron month... they have not added ANY events to the calendar for August, and this is unusual with it being so late in July.

I actually SAW him say something about the dvd, so hopefully it's true. Only time will tell.

I wouldn't mind getting VMK stuff out of the Little Mermaid release since I'll buy that or get it as a gift since it's near my birthday and I love it anyway. Though Tron wouldn't really fit in well with that.

Though the question is, with there being two Tron costume colors, if they were released through a DVD, would the color you get be random? They could hardly expect you to buy multiple copies hoping to get the other color.

You would think that they wouldn't expect that, but I do not see it outside the realm of possibilities. You never know what they might do to try to keep things rare.

I very very highly doubt that the Tron costume will be released with a DVD, i mean think about it.. why would they give you a code for a Tron costume in a Baby Einsteins movie? or even a Little Mermaid movie? it just doesn't make any sense.. I think that a Tron month is much more possible. Think, Yavn has even asked us on the DIS if we would like to see more Tron stuff.. Also, it has been stated that Tomorrowland isn't finished yet, that would be the perfect opportunity to release not only Some, if not the rest of Tomorrowland, but also a great opportunity to have an entire themed Tron month.. Also, if they did have it in a DVD people who previously posted are right, there's two colors, now I don't know about the rest of you guys out there, but i really don't want to run around in a Pink Tron costume..

I think that would make people angry.

I know I'd be entering the code on a male mule. Blue is my favorite color. I'm still irritated that the only way I can wear a baseball uniform is in purple.

I don't know, like other people said, it would make no sense whatsoever to put Tron codes in a Little Mermaid dvd, or any of the dvds being released in the near future. The Tron two disc 20th Anniversary Edition dvd was already released years ago, and while Disney has a habit of rereleasing their movies a dozen different times with new bonus features and a fully restored picture, I don't think that will be the case with Tron. At least not for a long time, anyway. Soooooo I dunno if I'm buying this whole "costume released with a dvd" thing. We shall see.
