Tron AP preview thread

Did we already know for sure the ap previews start 3/4 because len and jim said they do on todays disney dish podcast.

Everything so far for AP is guesses. No official announcements yet.

Now, I am not saying this is GOING to happen but here is a little story.

Back when they were doing the revamped Fantasyland previews, we were there, as regular guests and kinda walked up to “peek” into the area…

The 2 CM’s were nearby and I stared up a chat asking them what they thought about how the new area looked and how it was going.

After a few polite answers, they said, “Why dont you just go on in and take a look yourself….”

And thats how we got to enjoy the new FantasyLand , rides and restaurants during preview time without harldy any people at all in the areas.

Being nice pays off in Kharma many times.

I tried this with cosmic rewind and got instantly scolded by the CM's. I walked up to them, with no intention of asking for a ride rather I had a question about upcoming AP previews, and they loudly said the ride wasn't open and wouldn't let me even get near them to ask a question.

With the locker situation does anyone know if we will be able to bring cameras on the ride? I wanted to get different videos, one with a DSLR and one with a 360 camera. Ideally I would hold the 360 on a stick (more of a handle, it's the size of my hand) but can use a wrist mount instead.

If it has similar rules to the locker rides at Universal (and it seems Tron at Shanghai), then, no, that would not be allowed. But, ultimately we won’t know until the ride start running.

We won't know for sure until Disney announces it. People who normally have good info say 3 or 4th. The info could be accurate today, bur changed tomorrow.

We won't know for sure until Disney announces it. People who normally have good info say 3 or 4th. The info could be accurate today, bur changed tomorrow.

I’m starting to think we will just get an email Tuesday-Thursday next week.

I could be wrong but if I recall correctly with guardians the blogs/DIS board members were able to guess the days based on no AP slots available on certain days. We haven’t seen that yet. I doubt we will hear something today or tomorrow with the 100 anniversary kicking off and the cast members open on Monday.

So my guess is link goes live and email goes out sometime next week without dates announced prior.

Not much of a reason to guess the days this time since they've had a pretty decent source leak (aka, intentional leak) on the day it will start.

Reservations are not nearly as limited at this time, so it's very possible they won't pull any reservations from inventory to account for the preview guests anyway.

The only thing that is really a guess is what day reservations open. For that, I guess folks will just keep checking the link. Because of that they will still learn that it's live before emails go out since they have to turn on reservations prior to sending out an email telling you to click for sign ups. So there will still be a fair number to sign up before emails go out, thus taking a lot of spots before the link that gets sent in their email is even received. The only way they can stop that is to send out single use, specific to that AP recipient links, as the only way to sign up. Disney hasn't even done them that way so I don't think they ever will.

The email could say sign up for AP previews will open tomorrow at 9a. It doesn’t have to be sign up now.

Disney could skip the email in favor of just an app push notification

My guess is previews will start March 5th. CM previews end on the 3rd and Disney always likes to squeeze in the sad tiktok influencers before passholders.

No worries! I’m just saying I don’t think we will hear much the next few days and am guessing it will go live next week.

Im also don’t think we will know all the dates prior to the email/link going live.
