Tritons for Lunch...

I am not a big buffet fan, but last cruise since everyone was going to the lunch buffet I went to... this time though I want to try to convince them otherwise...

So want exactly is tritons like for lunch? What is offered and does the theming change?

DH and I went to Triton's for lunch one day. I was sit down, just like dinner. We were given a menu. I had meatloaf which was excellent, DH went exotic and had a cheeseburger (LOL). They gave me so much that I was only able to eat about half. Our waiter noticed that and asked me if he could bring me something else (he thought I didn't like it). Since there were only a few people in there I requested a table by ourselves-our first meal alone in quite a while. I felt just as pampered as at dinner.

I HIGHLY recommend the fruit/chicken/ham ceasar salad...I'm not sure if it's on the menu, but they always seem to have it. They toss it tableside and it is DELICIOUS...very tropical, with pineapples in there too. I had them toss in some marischino cherries to top it off on our last cruise, and that made it even better, if such a thing is possible
I also highly recommend the curried pumpkin soup. I had lots of that and the salad on our three-peat.

...at Triton's on the day we were at Nassau. Hardly anyone in there. Started with chickpeas on flatbread with a great vinegar/oil/tomato/onion dipping sauce. Then, broiled Tilapia with wild rice and grilled vegatables. A great Chardonnay. Key Lime pie for dessert with coffee. Two friendly, helpful waiters, practically to myself. The meal was perfectly paced, the food expertly prepared. It was wonderful (no pun intended....), and if you can, don't miss it.

I had nice shorts, t-shirt and sandels on and asked the head waiter standing at the door if it was ok, and he said absolutely no problem. There were others there at lunch like that also. I suppose wet swimsuits might not be welcomed, but it was pretty casual.

Okay, you all have convinced me to do Tritons for lunch, so if the other girls in my party want buffet, they can just go on their own... but I wanna be served 24/7 and the food you described sounds WONDERFUL, so tough luck for them! I want friendly and cute young male waiters to serve me my lunch! I mean, 24/7 fantastic service, thats why we go on a Disney cruise, right!!

Forget my friends.... its Tritons for lunch for me. I can have all the cute waiters to myself!

Do they have food for the kids on the Triton menu? That was one of the problems with Topsiders/Beach Blanket. . . no Mac and Cheese
