Triple D's December to Remember

Hey Ducks,

I am not sure when I made my last post, but it's been a while :) I know I am several weeks behind. I am REALLY looking forward to going to the Sunshine state. Since the marathon I did in Indy, I have have very little motivation to run. I think I left it all in the streets of Indy.

Miles for Dec
1-7 = 8.5 miles plus 4 hours of Ice Hockey
8-14 = 5 miles plus 4 hours Hockey & 2 days WInter skiing about 5 hours per day.

Looks like the Ducks are still doing well. I look forward to meeting some of you soon

PS: my bib #s R : Half 4670 & Mar 32361

Hey Triple D's....Can you believe only 3 days until Christmas!!!

I'm still way low on minutes/miles, work and weather have really been interfering with workouts and I'm really feeling the difference. As much as I dislike the dreadmill, I'm going to have to do an attitude adjustment and ....just deal with it. :goodvibes

week ending 12/21/09:

175 minutes 13.5 miles

Good Morning Ducks! Those of you in the northeast are hopefully dug out by now. This is the most snow I have seen in a while. Even got a snow day from work. The downside is this will put a damper on any training and activity for a few days, the roads here are still pretty bad to do any biking or running.

My miles for last week (15 -21) is 7.5 hours and 95 miles. 5 of the miles and an hour is from a walk on Sunday, I walked to the store rather than go out and drive. My street was not plowed until Monday noon.

Merry Christmas to All!

Augie

(including double miles for the "WiSH Virtual 10K")

Hmmm, I forgot about the double miles for this, do not remember if I counted them.

Does snow shoveling count for time? We got the hit with 20 inches and 55 MPH wind in Plymouth MA. Still not getting much running. I am taking the well rested route to Disney :)

15-21 8.0 miles running
20+ hours of Skiing, Hockey, Shoveling, & walking.

Merry X-mas

:goodvibesIt should! Snow shoveling is a great workout. I know that mowing, etc. used to be counted, so, why not!

From the sound of it everyone has made it out of the snow. Hope all is well with everyone and your training going good.

My totals for Dec. 15 - 21 are

Distance: 27 miles

Duration: 465 minutes

Hi, Ducks...
I know...I fell off the face of the earth. There were ...let's just say some "issues" between me and some posters on the transportation board, so I bailed from the DIS for a few weeks.

my end of year resolution is to get all the totals together. Not working tomorrow, so I have no excuses.

Training was going ok...until I hurt my foot. It's been getting more sore with my long runs, which subsequently got shorter...went to doc today and have early stress stuff. Not a whole fracture, but would head that direction if I'm not careful. I'm off of it for now...water running and riding the trainer. Will get out to Goofy weekend, but not clear on how much running I can get done safely. I'm doing an Ironman in May, so that is the "bigger" goal, though I would really like to check Goofy off my bucket list.

So...get those end of the year totals in and I will get them posted.

Please forgive me for my absence.
:sad1:

Betsy here my final totals for the year.

Running

Betsy take care of yourself. I hear you the Ironman is something I'm would love to do just not sure about the training and the logistics. It is definately on my Bucket listalong with the Goofy. Good luck and heal fast see you in a week or so. Rich

P.S. Where is the Wish meet and what day and time and who's going.

There's a meet at Pop Century Friday, 4:30, in the food court. Donald racers are meeting at 4:00 also. I think that one is by the gift shop.

Final results...

Hello Ducks! Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas, and here is to a Happy New Year! Have finally gotten some miles in as the roads have cleared, but last week was a bit slow. And it is snowing today again.

So, final miles and time for '09, is 7 hours and 101 miles, a combo of biking and a bit of running (only 6 miles).

Looking forward to next week! I am planning on the expo on Thursday, the POP meet on Friday, run on Saturday, and cheering on Sunday. A Get Well wish for Betsy, hope the foot heals quick!

Happy New Year!!

Augie

my totals for the end of the year are

Distance: 32 miles

Duration: 420 minutes

Hope every has a good New Year!!!

Wow....Happy New Year, everyone!!

We rocked!! so far, we have 26180.08 miles in 3792.79 hours. That's amazing! :cool1:

Spreadsheet is updated for what I have:
http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AhkQlDatUiUqcHk4X1UxVHMxZnFBb2xUM3F4elFmS0E&hl=en

I put in all the necessary calculations, so if anyone else posts, I can just fill in numbers and the totals will all adjust as needed. I leave for WDW on Jan 7, so will keep checking between now and then.

My totals are rough...I need to compare against my real training notes, but added the following for myself (will need to add in some weight training, etc).

Nov. 23-20 (I know this is not all of it, because it doesn't include my Turkey Trot): 13.5 miles run/ 2:50
11.3 miles bike/ 0:45
Total: 24.8 miles/3:35 hours

Dec. 1-7:
30.2 mile run, including double for a 1/2 marathon/ 4:10
15 mile bike/ 1:00
Total: 45.2 miles/ 5:10 hours

Dec. 8-14:
24.3 mile run/4:50
15 mile bike/ 1:05
Total: 39.3 miles/ 5:55 hours

Dec. 15-21:
11.4 miles running/ 2:35 hours

Dec. 22-31:
4 miles run/ :45
water running  2:10
18 miles bike/ 1:15
Total: 22 miles/ 4:10 hours

My foot is hanging in there...will see what happens next week.
Need to get up to speed on meets, etc. But y'all will maybe find me if you see a girl at the expo with a boot on her left foot. I won't have it on for the races....got the clearance to proceed with caution...so if it acts up during the 1/2, then I'm out for the full (which sort of breaks my heart, but I have to be smart).

Bib numbers:
9581 for the half
37540 for the full

Staying at OKW. Arriving Thurs and going to expo.
Have tickets to Pasta party on the Thursday, but might leave early (or dump the tickets) because of the National Championship football game that night (HOOK 'EM!!).
Skipping the 5K because of my foot, I think.
Hoping to go listen to Team Hoyt at the expo, whenever they are there.

So find me! :goodvibes

Whoever suggested I would run in the 1:40 range for the half...thanks, but I'm no where near that fast, even when healthy!
