My family and I (me, dh, & 4dd's) recently returned from a fabulous trip to WDW from 9/22 - 9/30. We stayed at the Poly and LOVED it. I have wanted to stay at the Poly since I was a child, so my expectations were high. I got nervous before we left because I was afraid I had built it up in my mind too much. It was everything I expected and more!!!! We requested Samoa 1st floor. Since we were checking in late in the day I had prepared myself for the "bad view" of the parking lot. But on arrival, we got 1st floor Samoa, volcano pool view!! The girls loved being to open the door and be steps from the pool. On that note, the pool was great! It was crowded during the afternoon, but not unbearable. The CM's were all wonderful and helpful, "aloha's" everyday.
On to the parks. They were more crowded than I expected, but wait times were nonexistent. We walked onto many rides. The average wait time was 5-10 min. The most we waited in line was 30 min for Soarin.
Some of the places we ate:
Biergarten - decent food, dh loved it (grew up in Germany)
Ohana's dinner - best meal we had, food was great!!!!!
Ohana's breakfast - very good food, great character interaction
Donald's breakfastosaurus - not impressed
Akershus breakfast -good food, mediocre character interaction
Chef Mickey's dinner - not as good as last year
Crystal Palace - mediocre
Beaches & Cream - 2nd best meal, food was very good, kitchen sink was awesome!!!
Overall a great trip! Of course dh couldn't relax and have a good time if you beat him in the head with it. But the girls and I knew that when we took him. Then my almost 2 year-old turned into an evil creature for the trip. She enjoyed the rides, but wouldn't sit in the stroller to save her life and threw "evil demon" fits if it was even suggested. But we did book Poly again next year with the bounceback offer!!!
Sorry so long-winded. If you have any questions I will gladly answer.
