Trip Talk!

Sounds like a great trip, Aerin. I've done a number of things on your list (Mystic Pizza, Flume in NH, Niagara Falls, etc.). If you're ever in the Philly/Princeton area again, let me know. Maybe we can meet up.

Awesome report - thanx for sharing, Aerin. Having been a Nor'Eastern girl most of my life (except for short stints in FL, CA, and VA), I've been in most of the places you mentioned, and if it weren't for the fearsome winters, I'd actually love to retire to somewhere on the water in Mane - don't think I coulod afford Bah Hahbuh :) but it certainly is spectacularly gorgeous there. Also love VT, RI, and NH, and lived for a portion of my life near Long Island Sound in CT, so quite familiar with that. I can also say with certainty that the Canadian side of Niagara Falls is SO much nicer than the American side! Stayed several times in the Sheraton right on the Canadian Falls, and it was breathtaking to see them lit up at night, or first thing in the morning from your hotel room! I haven't been in about 20 years or so, but also loved Toronto the times i'd been there.

That is awesome for your daughter - you are teaching her by doing - SO much better and deeper understanding than reading it in books, or watching videos!!

Thanx again for sharing. Glad you had an awesome time, glad to have you back too! :)

I'm born and raised in NJ and out of the cities it is a such a beautiful place my god.

I miss my summers down the shore, fall hikes in the Watchungs, visiting historic points like Monmouth and Morristown (not to mention the smaller points in and around my hometown), having the city right there (and other major cities close by), and all of the spots I associate with family. Texas is nice, but it's not home.

There is definitely little chance of three states in a day including sightseeing when Texas is involved! But it is still beautiful in its unique way.

I can make it from Texas to Florida in one day...but the only sightseeing is from the windows of the car! Heading west, it's all Texas for a good day. :D
