I am working on an upcoming trip to FW and am asking for some input on the best way to get there.

I am travelling east on I10 to I75 south then Highway 91 (toll road). There seems to be 3 options from there and different mapping progams offer various solutions.

Option 1:
From 91, take 429 south, exit on County Road 529, Winter Garden Vineyard and then exit onto Vista Drive into Disneyworld.

Option 2:
From 91 take 429 south, exit on Western Way into Disneyworld

Option 3:
From 91 exit on I4 south and exit onto Epcot Center Drive into Disneyworld.

I am towing a 30' travel trailer so easy is more important than shortest route.

Thanks in advance for any input or suggestions.

We take I-10 to US 427, a lightly used 4 lane just east of Tallahassee. That will bring you into Williston and I-75 south of Ocala. Saves a bunch of miles. Then the parkway(toll) to US 429 (toll) to exit 8 (I believe) toward Vista and into WDW and World Drive.

Oops, my bad. I should have said US 27, niot 427. Check a map(old paper technology), and see how many miles you save.

Definitely do option 2. Both the turnpike and 429 have tolls but its the easiest route with the best traffic

Double Ditto on option #2. I have the Sunpass as Yellow X says and it's great to keep rolling through the toll booths.

Once you come in on the Western Way (off exit 8 of 429) just follow the signs to the Magic Kingdom, go through the MK parking booth (free if you are staying at the Fort), and hang a right to get to the Fort.

Thanks for the feedback, I am definitely ordering a Sunpass. I see that they can be ordered by mail. Great suggestion.

by getting a sunpass are you saving time and $$$ or just time. if you only come through there once a year?

Good question on what am I saving! I expect to go to DW twice a year for the next few years. A Sunpass costs $5 and I will purchase one to eliminate the need to stop and pay tolls.

When you purchase the $5 Sunpass you get $5 back in credit for tolls on your account (or that was back when I bought mine) so it is essentially free.

There is a savings using the Sunpass versus cash. There is a toll calculator at https://www.sunpass.com/tollCalculator

For my Suburban and single axle pop-up, the one-way Sunpass toll is $7.41 versus $8 in cash to go from the I75 turnpike start via Hwy 429 (Western Beltway) and off at Exit 8 for WDW.

I don't buy it so much for the savings as not having to come to a stop, creep to the booth, and then accelerate back to speed. On the turnpike you have to slow down to 25 or 35 mph but on WB you cruise by at highway speed.

Remember to add the license plate number of your trailer to the Sunpass account as well as the tow vehicle's.

PS - and where are my manners? Welcome ExTiger :welcome:

Thanks for the reminder on the TT license number. I never would have thought of that.
