Then you need to go all out if this is the trip before your APs expire.
Plus I recommend retirement. I was laid off during covid when everyone was sent home for several months and I was just one of thousands randomly (I believe) selected to separate from the company to off-set the loss of revenue during the same period. (dang bean counters

). But I was eligible to "retire" (which wasn't much difference). But retiring still in my 50s means there were things I could do (physically) that would have been harder for me had I retired now. And I have done them and continue to do them.
I'm the oldest child in my family (only one retired too) and here is what I tell my brothers and sisters about being retired. My phrase is "every day is like Saturday". You wake up, decide what you want to do that day, and then try to do it (or go for a long walk if it's a beautiful day). Or not. It's the land of no alarm clocks (unless you need one for what you have CHOSEN to do). Granted, some folks retire and then continue to do something on the side for a little cash flow, some social interaction, or having a daily purpose. But that's not me - between family, hobbies, and church stuff, I am happily active.
So hang in there and let us know when you join the "club" of retired folks.
