Trip report with special needs children

Just wanted to let yall know I am starting a trip report which includes two special needs children. DSS10 is borderline Aspergers Syndrome, and DSS7 is high functioning ASD.

Take a look if you are interested. We are the HMP Clan!

So far I am enjoying the trip report. Too bad you had to leave early on your first day. I think under things you would want to do differently is you may want to plan to leave the parks before noon. Also, we have found the non-Disney parks to be not worth it whenh we had Disney tickets. If we are in Orlando with no Disney tix, then we might think about hitting some of the other attraxctions in the area, but it's hard for us to stay away from WDW when we're so close. We're trying that this February, doing Disney's Vero Beach resort on the coast and skipping WDW entirely this trip; in the past we have split our February vacation week between WDW and VB.

We have a child with what they thought was ODD but now it may either be Aspergers or a combo of both...still working on the testing.... Our last two trips to Disney had some real embarrassing moments where my 9 year old had a complete meltdown. any tips or advice??

We go at the childs pace and usually he does 2-3 rides or shows and he is done for the day. We go back to the room for a rest we find he tires easily.
