Good news! A new trip report. We were at the Fort this past weekend for three nights. I made our reservations several months ago when I saw that the children would have a Friday off from school and that it would coincide with the Food and Wine Festival.

Bad news! It rained so much that I really don't have much of a trip report. We still had a good time but I only got to take a few pictures. I will try and post some later. I had planned on doing some exploring throughout the campground but it just didn't pan out.

I'll share what few details I have later.

I would rather be in rain at the Fort, than be in rain at home.
We here in the North East have had sooooo much rain since August.
Apparently, the rain that your suffered thru on the weekend will be here tomorrow nite.

I hear you there! We had our share here in Maine too but the last 3 days have been incredible!! Makes me wonder why I am leaving for FL in 2 days.... well... almost!! :rotfl:

Don't you wish that we had the ability to SEND the rain to places that really needed it? Texas could gladly have Pennsylvania's rain for a few weeks.

Hope your Disney trip went well.

I have a few pictures to post, but not many. We really didn't get out much so I think most of the pictures I took just showed the water pooling behind our campsites. I thought about taking a picture of the plastic washbin that was catching the water drips from our roof but never got around to it. :) At one point we thought we had two drips going and I put a pot on the floor underneath the second drip to catch the water. My husband started to complain that it made us look "trashy." I just laughed and said "really, who's coming to visit our camper in the middle of this monsoon to see it?!"

Overall our camper held up pretty well. We had been in the rain before but never this much, this strong and this prolonged. We are going to have to re-caulk the seams around the air conditioning as we think that it where two of the leaks originated. We found another one at the zipper area of the bunk end. We think it was just because the rain was coming in sideways at one point and got in the tiny gap between the zipper. Once we moved the zipper up to a higher point that had a flap that covered the zipper it stopped. We did find another wet spot underneath the mattress on one bunk end that we didn't figure out.

We had to pack up in the rain although thankfully it wasn't raining too bad when we had to crank it down. The camper is now partially open in the garage drying out.

I'll try to get the pictures downloaded later this week and post them.

Even with all the rain we still had a good time!
