Day 2

After a heavy thunderstorm during the night we woke up to nice cool air and felt refreshed. We had breakfast time for 8.15 and when we got there people were standing in line! I never experienced this at the Santa Fe. While my friends waited I checked at the reception if there would be any GMFB available the next day but unfortunately there wasn`t. Big disappointment, sniff…. :guilty: They told me to book it in advance next time but I never needed to do that and I don`t think my travel agent ever heard about it because she hadn`t mentioned the opportunity of booking GMFB :sad2: . Well, that`s high season. I`ll be sure to get it next time, I was only getting a little worried about doing Fantasyland with all these crowds. :confused3

I joined my friends who were still queuing but after another 5 minutes we entered, grapped some rolls and croissants and were surprised that despite the crowds it was easy finding a table. So, normally breakfast at Disney takes only 20 minutes for me but my crew has to start the morning slowly with a lot of coffee to wake up :coffee: . I told them how much we would get done by entering the park at rope drop but no chance for me :confused3 . We took the bus and were at the Studios at around 10. It still was empty and I`m not worried about crowds at the Studios but the sun already started burning down :goodvibes so I would have liked to be there during the cool hours.

First thing we did was Art of Animation with no wait, I really love the movie clips it always gets me into the Disney feeling. Afterwards we headed to Animagique for the 10.45 performance again with almost no wait. That show is so much fun! :dance3: And we loved the air condition!
Next thing was Cinemagique at 11.30 and on our way we watched Cruella arriving but decided to not watch the whole performance. We all enjoyed Cinemagique and the little refreshment it gave us..

Now we were just in time to take a seat for the Moteurs…Action! Stunt Show (again no waiting, great start to a day to not have queued a bit, been in air conditioned rooms a lot and had done so much in short time… now my friends started to like this Disney thing). It was also my first time watching the stunt show and it was impressing. I wonder if I could this with my VW Lupo? :hyper:

Now that we had seen all the shows we wanted it was time to start with the attractions. Short break at the wind machine next to the entrance of the stunt show and then entering my absolute favourite: RnR Coaster :teeth:  :cheer2: :hyper: :hyper:  ! We had a 20 minutes wait due to the ending of the stunt show but didn`t mind as it was our first wait. We all loved it! If I ever get to win a lottery I will have built it in my backyard. :teeth:
We planned on going on the Studio Tram Tour but it had been shut down and they didn`t know if it would be opened again this day. So we decided on Armageddon, which didn`t impress my friends and me neither I think because it was so crowded you couldn`t see all the things going on around you.

We all felt hungry and sweaty again (we had reached the 30 degrees again) so we decided to take a lunch break at McDonald´s at the village, rest in our room and return in the early evening. Very good thing to do because when we went back to Disneyland Park at around 6.00 there were clouds building up and the air had cooled down so we had a relaxed walk to the park.
First thing we did was getting ice cream at Gibson Girls then slowly walked to Fantasyland when it started to rain. So we got in line for IASW which surprisingly all liked and when we got off the sky had already cleared up again. We wanted to go on the Storybook ride but it was closed because of the wet platform so we queued for the Teacups that had only 5 minutes wait. All 4 of us squeezed into one cup so we hardly had space to turn the wheel in the middle and did the ride with very less spinning :crowded: . Fantasyland was very quiet because the parade was about to start so the girls took a ride on Le Carrousel with no wait, then we did Pinocchio and Blanche Neige with a 5 minutes wait.
The parade was over and Fantasyland started to get crowded again so we decided to leave Fantasyland ( I know, no Peter Pan and Dumbo this trip, sniff… :guilty: but I didn`t want to ruin the good vibe of the day by queuing long times).

We walked to Adventureland and visited the Robinsons (didn`t find the root cellar again) and rode Indy. I`m so glad it`s forward, the first time I rode it it was still the Backwards ride and I hated it because it was bumpier than Space Mountain.
Next we walked to BTMRR that said 40 minutes wait but we decided to queue for it. It was a fast moving line this evening and since the air was cooled down we didn`t bother about waiting. Only thing disturbing was a group of brazilian girls that stood so close behind us I had to stretch out my leg behind me so that they kept distance. :crowded: One of them was gesturing while talking and stood so close she scratched my arm with her ring, but after apologizing didn`t keep a greater distance anyway :furious: . But that was the only “bad” incidence we experienced while standing in line, except smoking french teenagers which we saw quite some times :sad2: .
When we got on our vehicles at BTMRR it was already dark and you guys were absolutely right: it was way more fun in the dark! The view was beautiful and the ride seemed much wilder! :woohoo:

The steamboat was already closed so we decided to take a walk through the Main Street Shops and then leave the park. I would have watched Wishes again but my friends didn`t want to leave with all the crowds. We watched a little Fantillusion again ( we stood at the entrance of one of the shops and saw all changes and the dancers and characters this time although we didn`t stand right at the Street.

After walking through the shops we took the bus “home” and called it a day. I`m always sad the second night because I know it`s the last one... :guilty:

You did loads of things It is great to know if you are organised that a lot can be done even in High season
Thanks for sharing your report as it makes the magic seem closer.

Lovely report. :sunny: I agree, you really packed a lot into your day. :thumbsup2

I'm glad you enjoyed BTM at night, I love the way you see things on there at night that you don't in the day.

You managed to do a lot of stuff! :thumbsup2 Thanks for a great report :goodvibes

now my friends started to like this Disney thing

Just as it should be!!! :teeth:

Wonderful trip report, you really squeezed alot in there. I rode in the teacups with my daughter and came off feeling very sick and dizzy, she was like a maniac turning that wheel!

I was also really pleased to do BTM in the dark, what an experience and one I hope to repeat in the not so distant future!
