Just a quick overview of our Trip - we arrive back in the UK at 7.20 this morning - so rather tired!

Lows:

Weather was a mixed bag - not as hot as last year and quite cloudy

Staying off site without DDP - gosh we missed the table service meals

One car between two families - our friends were late risers who wanted to relax a bit more (whereas we want to hit the parks at opening and get the main attractions done)

Our son breaking down in tears at MCO when he realised he had left his Despicable Me toy wrapped in his bedding at the villa

Highs

Manta & Cheeta Hunt - first time for these two coasters - very enjoyable

DS being 52" and able to ride everything!

The Great Feast at The Three Broomsticks - $49.99 for a massive platter of food for four and lovely cooked veg with it, juciy chicken and ribs - beautifully sweet sweetcorn and scrummy potatoes.

The Magic, the Memories & You - we sat at Sleepy Hollow with Funnel Cakes & Hot Chocolate - we were gobsmacked at what they did with the castle and projections with the bricks moving and the tower taking off like a rocket - very cleverly done and......magical!

DS & DD were asked to help with Flights of Wonder in AK and had to open the curtain and annouce 'On with the show' - we were then directed to the seats slap bang in the middle of the front row - of course they got certificates!

Getting the confidence to finally drive in Florida!

As we left Magic Kingdom before heading to MCO - DD started to cry so I hugged her as we walked along and Pinnochio ran up behind us and hugged DD - Magical end to the holiday!

We were going to miss next year - but have now started looking at the last two weeks of August at OKW- will have to consult with the mighty Wayne:worship: as to average flight prices this time of year etc - we are now willing to do Tampa, Sanford or In-direct so we can make the magic happen again!

Welcome home. Hope the 'blues' don't set in too quickly.

We're like you - whatever it takes. :thumbsup2

Welcome home. So glad you had a good time. It certainly seemed like the weather was a bit more iffy than last year. Last October was hot and dry -I seem to recall that there was not a drop of rain the entire calendar month!

Have you contacted the villa owner to see if they can ship the toy back to you? Most parents know that this kind of thing is an utter disaster.

I also really loved the Magic,The Memories and You. I must be honest, when I first read about it, it sounded so tacky and I was more than just a little impressed with how beautifully and cleverly it is put together.

Aw, love the final special touch with Pinnoccio :) :wizard: Must admit, in this family, my DD is the mature one who holds it together while I howl may way back to MCO on the ME :rotfl:

I can't believe how quickly your time there seems to have gone though. But its good to see you back with a report of lots of highs :thumbsup2

Welcome home.
We probably had coolest Oct half term we have ever had out there, still better than being at home.:goodvibes
Thankfully we enjoy offsite meals as much as onsite infact next year while on DDP we are planning at least 2 meals offsite(Cheesecake factory & Manny's) even if we have credits left.
You really need 2 cars unless you do very similar things or be onsite to use the buses while the other family has the car.
Manta & Cheetah Hunt are great arn't they :thumbsup2
Matt & Karen were pushing me to eat The Great Feast at The Three Broomsticks, I just couldn't pay that much for lunch, not bad for 4 but for 3 we never spend more than $30ish on lunch.
Hope you find a way back next year.:)

I can't believe they had a webcast announcing it but it is better than I expected.

More highs than lows :goodvibes

Well done on the driving (13 trips and i'm still yet to drive over there )
