We had a great stay in a Grand Villa and a Studio. There was me 45, DH 46, DS 7. SIL - 44, BIL 45, Neices - 25, 17, 16 and nephew 10. The other people that were to be with us couldn't make it so we were really able to spread out. We were in building 18, and the studio was under us. What a great location. Right in the middle of everything.
We arrived very early on Sunday morning - 10 am, and both rooms were ready. We couldn't believe it. Ran up the street to Publix. We were all moved in with the shopping done by noon.
The Grand Villa was in good shape - but there was a flying ant problem in the master bath. About 20 dead bugs on the floor around the vent, and another dozen hanging around the vent. Called maintenance - they arrived in under 5 minutes. Sprayed for the bugs, and he told us that 3 weeks ago the whole place had been infested with male flying ants looking for their queen.
The biggest decision we made each day was - should we go to the beach? The pool at the beach? Or the pool? After 1 day at the beach none of the kids would go back - they were all stung by jellyfish. I'll be lucky to get my son to a beach with warm water again - he was stung by fire coral on Castaway Cay last October. LOL The lifeguards are prepared with spray bottles of vinegar.
The kids really enjoyed the slide at the Big Dipper. We are at Boardwalk now and the kids enjoyed the Big Dipper better. The only complaint they have is the slide at the Big Dipper closed too early. The 2 young ones enjoyed the birdhouse activity. We also enjoyed B'Lou Crabbe's ghost stories. A lot of activities were cancelled due to afternoon early evening thunderstorms. We were very happy to meet Shadow. Everyone had fun at the campfire.
We ate in every night except for one - we went to the Boathouse, the resort had given us a $20 off coupon and this restaurant was listed. We went early 5:30 and we did not have to wait. The meal was great.
We didn't really leave the resort at all. Just to go to the grocery store. This was our first trip home, and we are so happy with the resort.
