I don't use any combo cameras and I actually recommend that people avoid them. I have a dedicated video camera for video and a few dedicated digital cameras for still shots. I'd recommend buying a good Mini DV video camera and use it in addition to your digital camera. We have pictures of our cameras on our website, just click on the OUR CAMERAS link on the front page. I have found that a digital camera that can do videos never does videos as good as a video camera and vice-versa.
Most video cameras don't provide more than 1 or 2 megapixels for still shots and the quality never is as good as a good digital camera because the CCD is designed to work best for video and not stills. My waterproof digital camera does do some psuedo-videos, however we only use that feature more for fun than anything else since the videos are really tiny and not full frame video quality.
So, my advice is just to find a great video camera that takes great videos and use it in combination with your digital camera.
