Ahhh, a rest day. Sort of.

We slept in today. Till almost 9 AM. WooHoo!! Went to Kona Cafe for breakfast. Adults had tonga toast and kids had Mickey pancakes. The tonga toast was as good as I remembered it to be. M-m-m-m

After breakfast we went to Downtown Disney to shop a bit. Kids bought pins to trade and played in the lego area. While my niece went shopping for collectibles, I let the kids play in the water area (where the water shoots up out of the ground). They had a ball. They stayed there for 45 minutes playing. And to think, we spent all that money for park tickets, when a little would keep them satisfied.:p

We went back to the resort to change clothes and then headed over to the Boardwalk for dinner. We ate at ESPN Club and the kids played in the arcade area.

I went to the Wyland Gallery store and treated myself to a necklace and earrings. I love Wylands artwork and his jewelry designs.

It downpoured for about 15 minutes, with lightening cracking the sky. Luckily, it stopped about 8:40, so we walked to the bridge and watched the fireworks from Illuminations at Epcot.

This was a good day because we needed a break from running around like crazy.

Wow, I have never checked out Wyland's and now I am going to have to on my next trip. How was ESPN? This is one of the rest. that I have on my list to try in Nov. What did you have and would you eat there again?

Wonderful trip report ~ Thanx for sharing.

We're hoping to have dinner on the Boardwalk one evening, but it will be the day we're at Epcot, and was just wondering if watching Illuminations from the bridge you mentioned is just as nice as seeing it from Epcot? I've never been, so I don't know where this bridge is that you mention--can you tell me? We're planning on a dinner at Beaches and Cream.

Thanks

Yecats - ESPN is cool. So many tv screens to watch the games. Food was good. I had the club sandwich, another in our party had chicken wings. They were HUGE and he got about 7 or 8 on the plate.
I eat there whenever I get to WDW.

BurleyGirl - The Illuminations show is better watching it from inside EPCOT. But if you're not going to the park and don't want to waste a day on your park hopper, watching from the bridge will at least let you see some fireworks. If you're using a LOS pass, then I would definitely go inside the park to watch the show. If you are at the Boardwalk and walk down past ESPN Club and stay on the path. You'll get to the bridge. You can watch there or keep walking around the path and it'll being you to the back entrance of EPCOT.

I LOVE ESPN! Those are the best hot wings I've ever had! We stopped there on our last trip and it is now on our MUST list for next time.
